This was one of the highlights of our Trip around Norway. Relaxed hospitality as it should be. Excellent local produce, no choice and yet the meal was enjoyed by all 12 dinner guests. The Gentleman that runs this hotel deserves a great deal of credit. The rooms are modern comfortable and well maintained.
The food we had was delicious and well presented. We asked for advice on hiking routes and he was very enthusiastic and informative. Our stay at Nes Gard was one of the highlights of our holiday

The best thing was the room, we liked everything: the bed, the bed-linen, the bathroom, the design. The food was very delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is featured by the ferry terminal to cross the fjord. -

I liked the whole cabin. it was very well equipped, from the sauna to dish-washer. I also liked the privacy, it was as if we owned the whole area with the beautiful mountain and lake backdrop. Lastly, this was the first cabin, cottage that allowed me to row a boat! Wifi was also working fine.

We had a great stay here: very friendly atmosphere and stuff, nice surrounding, all facilities in and outside of the room were excellent, clean and comfortable. In the territory even there was a kind of cafe with good food and reasonable prices. We felt like at home.

The view from our deck was amazing, probably better than the view from the hotels that are nearer to the reail station and port. The room was pretty big, and had all the facilities needed to cook and eat. For those who do not cook, there is a bar/restaurant on the basement that offers basic meals at fair prices.

The position, just on the small port of Kalvag with a beautiful view on the sea. The rooms were both spacious, bright and clean. Breakfast, served in the restaraunt (wich is quite elegant inside), was good and abundant. We had even diner at the restaurant: not cheap but the food was good; tasty even the beer locally brewed. Beautiful main lodge with a lovely restaurant and wrap-around porch. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was clean and warm with a kitchenette and sink. The setting was beautiful with the surrounding mountains. The price was excellent. -

Flam is a very beautiful place at the bottom of a fjord, and shouldn't be missed. The hotel is 2 minutes from the train overlooking the fjord. This hotel is located in a beautiful spot, a very short walk to the Flam train station and the Gutvagen ferry dock, and next door to Flam's excellent microbrewery/restaurant. Our room was large, bright, had a really nice view from room and balcony, a very comfortable bed, and good reading lights. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The location is excellent, just around the corner from Balestrand and 500m from the ferry. It is also a good base for lots of walks. We had the 3 course dinner at the hotels restaurant which was yummy but the best was the wonderful view while eating dinner. We could see dolphins in the fjord! Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.
