  The hotel is very conveniently located (near the train station, the canal boat locations and the highly walkable set of city canals). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (I was having back spasms and they really took care of me.) Our room was remarkably quiet -- the Damrak was full of noisy soccer fans, but our window opened onto a well ... what people say » between buildings and we heard almost none of it. - I was here about 10 days ago with my friends, the location was really excellent, in the town center and near the train station, staff was helpful and very kind, the reception works 24h a day, it was clean and we had so much fun, I would recommend it if you are coming to Amsterdam.

  Loved the place! What's not to like? Don't understand the negative reviews. It is right on the canal, the view from my 2-d floor room was fantastic. It took me a little bit over an hour to get to the hotel from the airport - so easy to get to and to find. Tram #4 stops right on the bridge in front of the hotel and goes to and from the Central Sta... what people say » tion - and there is a train that connects it with the airport. The room is very basic, but enough for a quick tour of the city (I stayed less than 24 - The host was great, he helped us with our bags and was really friendly. We actually had some changes to our room arrangements but we managed to come to an agreement regarding the payment so we appreciated the flexibility. Breakfast was normal, we didn't try everything though, but it was good enough for us. We got a room for 4 and it was spacious with wide windows which created a nice effect when the sun comes in during the day. We had a view of one of the canals which was lovely. The beds were
