The staff were very warm and welcoming. Within 15 minutes we felt like regulars at the pub. The location was excellent, very convenient. And it was much quieter than we were expecting. Great location and a great staff-- people were very helpful andfriendly.The location is perfect. Just at the center, 2 minutes walking to central station. Lots of restaurants and cafes around to eat. Very helpful staff. Very quite for such a central location. Has typical steep stairs of dutch houses which makes difficult carrying the luggages upstairs , but the staff helps you. all reviews »

But for a night, close to theaction of Amsterdam, it is perfect. can be clean a bit more.Noisy. Remember it's a one star hotel, so don't expect other than essential. The stairs up to the rooms are very steep. Include in the hotel information about accessibility to the room, in particular for disabled persons due to the long and unconfortable stairs and no lift available, particularly because the clients usually are carrying heavy bags.

The hotel has a friendly Dutch pub, which was founded in 1928 for the sailors coming back from their long sea journeys.
Until today, the style of the interior has remained authentic, with a old harpoon hanging above the bar and a lot of other antiques reminding us of the
