very easy to get to and it was in walking distance of most everything . staff on reception were very helpful,the hotel bar was good for a drink or two . breakfast was self service but plenty of it.great place to get away and have no one care about your business. i would go back and stay there again. This is a 3-star hotel that reaches far above itself in the variety andquality of amenities and onsite services. Including a charmingtraditional Dutch bar, and a gracious dining room with great food andfriendly, professional service. Special cudos to Head Waiter, Hedi G.!!.

What's worst, they gave 1/2 size (compared to normal size) toilet paper to us-there were 4 of us and no tissue paper unless ask several times!!!. tea making facilitys in the room would nice. No Tea/Coffee making facilities. No, this is a good hotel. Some of the restaurant staff were a bit surly. Bed linen was not changed during my stay, but that could be expected with the star rating of the establishment.They forgot to put soap in my room. It's a very small room, for the cost. No lift, and the spiral stair is way too narrow, carry a big luggage may have hard time before can reach the room. Small lobby. Wireless internet only worked in the lobby area, not in our room. Somewhat of a foul smell in the lobby at times - like ammonia or methane.Even the stairs were a fun experience. The lift was broken. Horrible smell in the 2nd floor hallway, not in the room. As clean as I expected. Bring earplugs in case your room is facing the street -it will be noisy. From the 2nd floor there are 3 staircases, but as so as you get down almost to floor 1 they are blocked with a sign for "emergency use only." Would have been nice to know at the top.We had steps immediated after entering our hotel room. They were a little tricky to navigate. Single room is tiny-tiny, but it does not really matter, since everything works ok (shower, hot water...) and you do not spend much time at the hotel.A little noisy due to location and lack of double-glazing. Lack of Internet in the rooms.

You can take a train from Schiphol airport to Central Station, it takes about 19 minutes

Coming from the Ring A-10 around Amsterdam take exit S116 (direction Amsterdam Centrum). Go straight forward for about 2 km. Go straight into the IJ-tunnel. Immediately after the IJ-tunnel take the first exit to the right (Prins Hendrikkade).
Go straight forward for about 1 km. If you enter the Station Square you'll see the Central Station at your right hand side. Hotel Prins Hendrik is located opposite the Central Station (at your left hand side).
