The location of the hotel and the staf are realy helpfull and nice. The hotel is in an excellent location, quite near to Dam Square and all the major attractions. I liked the fact the hotel has a lift - I have stayed in small hotels in the past and have to climb lots of narrow, steep steps which is difficult with bags. I have a knee injury so the lift was very welcome. The hotel is clean, stylish with an appealing cosmopolitan feel, but also traditional.

Great location, friendly staff, free room upgrade was a plus. the central location, decor and staff were all excellent. Regular visitor and always good service. Can be found at half price inthe nearby cafe.Our room was right on the noisy square- people shouting all night. The staff was inept. For example, we asked a wake up call for our early morning flight, but it never came. Also they told us our destination was a 5-10 minute walk, but it was a 40 min walk so we missed our transport.Slow service in brasserie; a bit noisy in the square late at night. 24 hour advert display in the square - not very eco friendly.A lot of noise coming from the street / square.Small rooms. very smal room. staff at the front desk were not very pleasant. A private party went on on the Saturday night, very loud music till midnight. It would have been nice to be noticed when we checked in.Cleaning was poor, thermoisolation on windows non-existent, somethingwas usually forgotten of the bathroom accessories, heating turned off,breakfast buffet was monotonous. The cleanliness wasnt up to scratch for the price we paid. The balcony was really dirty.lack of facilities for a 4 star hotel???. The rooms on the front are much too noisy because of street noise: big trucks idling endlessly, taxi stand, tram stop, drunks, street cleaning. It goes on all day and all night.I did not sleep for 2 nights. No air conditioning and no double windows. The hotel should close for the Summer. When I asked for a train schedule from Amsterdam to Paris, no one could give me the information !. The hotel room was not very well cleaned. Soap in the bath, a lost earring on the desk, and a customer questionnaire filled out in January had still not been collected!. cleanliness very poor, £100/per night for a dusty room and dirty bathroomis not ideal. Will not return and will not recommend the hotel.
