It's impossible don't breath the typical dutch air, both straightly from the room's atmosphere and the staff's warmth. Central to all of Amsterdams attractions. Lovely bright, well furnished, clean room. It was very clean and staff were friendly. Great location. The room we stayed in was really lovely and, compared to some other hotels we saw online, much more spacious. Our room was spotless with a jacuzzi shower in the en suite which was lovely! The bed was so comfy - it was a memory foam bed which made it difficult to get up in the mornings! We would definately recommend this hotel.all reviews »
Clean, comfortable, well managed, in a central position with good restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Rooms were furnished to a high standard. Hotel was exactly as advertised, a good value package. I didn't like the smell in the hall. many stairs. After four days the choice at breakfast became boring. Two cereals, ham and cheese, bananas, toast and jam could easily be extended without waste. eg. more choice of cereals, fruit, individually packed items such as rivita etc.Breakfast was included however choice very limited and a bit boring. We thought the breakfast menu could have been more varied.The same chioces were on offer all three mornings of our stay eg the only fruit on offer was bananas.The stairs: old carpets. In noisey location. Room was on top floor and uncomfortably hot at night. The price was very high, comparing to what we were expecting for thismoney. No elevator and the breakfast was very poor-. There was a lot of noise outside at night and we therefore could not open the windows. Breakfast was poor. Stairs were extremely steep - to carry heavy luggage up and down was very difficult. breakfast. Where do I start...3 flights of stairs to get to our room, small room with the windows looking directly at another wall, staff insisted on hoovering in the landing at 8:30 am every morning and the walls were paper thin, you could hear full conversations in the other room while lying in bed...and the music from the bar. Reception was more like the front room of someones house (it was actually).

You must climb at least 2 flights of stairs to get to your room. They are not steep by Amsterdam standards, but people with stair problems should be made aware.
