View over the river. Overall quality. I particularly liked the old character of the Hotel. I was surprised that some guests thought it needed a make over since its age and character is part of the charm. lovely winding staircase and stained galss windows. room was cleaned, staff are friendly, ok, rooms are small - but they all are in Amsterdam. This is a great hotel and great value.It was very warm (as we stayed at winter time), good location, silence street, beautiful building with very fashionable staircase.Location and staff were excellent. Asked for a spacious room on an upper floor and they obliged without hesitation.Absolutely amazing staff. Its always like coming home. The hotel is unique and different.
