The Staff were welcoming and friendly, a very relaxed atmosphere. The 10 of us that stayed there all enjoyed our stay, and will be returning to La Boheme next time we are in Amsterdam!. the comfortable room ,the helpful staff,the nice breakfast and atmosphere and general cleaneness and good location.Staff - friendly and helpful; Breakfast tastey and nutritious; great location.

I stayed at a double room and it was very nicewith its own toilet/bathroom. Staff is nice from the little I had to dowith them. Excellent value for money. The attitude of all the reception staff we spoke to was unbelievablygood. Friendly and extremely helpful.The room was clean, had a great power shower and the sheets and bath towels were changed once a day. Can be a little noisy when other guests walk on the stairs or room above, soundproofing can be improved. our room was at the top floor,no elevator and the stairs are very steep. Bad ventilation (although the fact that the rooms are non-smoking kind of makes up for it), and narrow stairwells that make you think twice before climbing them when slightly intoxicated. Troubles with warming system.No tea/coffee facilities in room/ no double bed. wireless internet not working as advertised and not fixed during my stay, difficulties due to needing this for work. The stairs were steep but that is common in Amsterdam. Although the clenaner visited our room every day the floor wasnt cleaned in the 4 days wew were there, the bins werent emptied so we had to remove our own rubbish and we werent provided with new toilet roll so we had to go and ask for some. There was a building site right outside our window. One of the lights in the room wasnt working. The stairs were quite steep, although we were prepared for this and I believe that any other similar hotel would have the same stairs.the stairs. early and not so nice breakfast. To improve isolation - it was very cold and windy near the window. The overall room was not well furnitured. smoking is not allowed. Noisy due to nearby building work. busy street during weekends nights. it was simple, a little bit shabby perhaps... The hotel was dirty, small, dark, the breakfast was minimal.

We serve a simple all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, Dutch style, until 11:00. After that, until 23.00, you can order from a great variety of drinks and some snacks such as noodle soup or toasted sandwiches. It is also possible to order from some of the menus we have available from restaurants, which deliver in Amsterdam, and enjoy your meal in La Bohème.

Hotel La Bohème is located in a characteristic Amsterdam building dating back to 1905 and has 4 upper floors. Please note that we do not have an elevator.

Between 09:00 and 23:00 the reception and bar on the ground floor will be open. Here you can just have a drink or snack and relax, or the receptionist can help you with any information or problems.

All rooms in Hotel La Bohème are completely non-smoking.

Important information to guests

Guests are kindly requested to confirm their reservation if expecting to arrive after 16:00. Please note that the hotel occupies a traditional, 5-floor building with a steep staircase and no lift. This means it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. The hotel offers ironing facilities for guests which can be borrowed from the reception. Please note that the fixed amount stated in the prepayment conditions is a deposit for the room key. It is required upon arrival, and will be refunded after an inspection on the day of departure. Shuttle bus 197 runs between Schiphol Airport and Hotel La Bohème.

The hotel is situated roughly 200 metres from the Leidse Plein, the main night life area of Amsterdam. Here you find a wide range of charming restaurants, bars, famous disco’s and coffee shops. Some of the most important museums, for example the Van Gogh Museum and Rijks Museum, are also within walking distance.

All twins and triples (in total 15) have a private shower and toilet. The 3 single rooms have a sink, but share a shower and toilet. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities and we provide clean towels. The rooms are cleaned every day. If there are any problems in the room, you can always contact our staff so it can be solved as soon as possible

Travelling information

From Schiphol Airport, you can take the interliner bus, 370, directly to our hotel. You can also take a train to Amsterdam Central Station and from there take tram 1, 2 or 5 to the Leidse Square. If you come by car, we advise you to choose the P&R location near the Old Olympic Stadium. The daily costs are minimal and you receive a free transport ticket (or a bike) to the Leidse Square.
