  My husband and I spent 5 days at the Datai. I've stayed in many hotels over the years but I can honestly say, that I enjoyed my stay at the Datai more than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt a sense of peace being close to nature and the sea. All the staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable. At full moon the staff spent all day setting up tables and chairs on the beach and in the eve - beautiful and spacious rooms with great service, food was pricy but then again it is a 5 star so u got to pay the price i guess. we felt pampered , loved our stay.. hats off to the management and staff ...

  Unique resort and room. Excellent breakfast. The staff was kind and very quick to respond to any requests. The balcony was a nice addition and the bathroom was unique in that it was open and even had a stone wall. We stayed in the sea villa area suites that were situated at the sea. - The resort is nicely located and we stayed at one of the newly... what people say » opened chalets.   Very good location to discover the island. Car and motorbike rent is in the next building. European and cheap Indian food right next door. Quiet place to sleep. Walking distance to ferry and duty free shops. Staff is very helpfull and frendly. - nice staffy
