This is not my first stay. I experience few stay of bad services. I forgotten to bring down my parking ticket from room, and the guy ask for tips in order for me to exit. Also I was book non-smoking room and was given a heavy smoking room and also it was a connecting room, next room smoke heavily all night long and it comes over from the door gap. However this latest stay was excellence. They have no more non smoking room, only smoking room althought I check-in at 1400hrs. I explain my previous.
all reviews » The location is very near to JB central, so easy to access bus for long distant main attractions like Hello Kitty, JPO MALL, Legoland etc. Buffet good, as I am a vegetarian, they offered me to select one vegetarian item to order as a-la-carte since menu was mainly non-vegetarian -- staff friendly and helpful --. 1. Location - the hotel is located at Johor town. It is also nearby to Singapore. Besides that, the journey to Iskandar town only took us about 20 - 30 minutes drive.. 2. Room is spacious - The room is spacious and it has kitchen and dining for you to prepare food especially for family with small kids. Practically everything. Almost full house every weekend.. So book fast.. 5Mins to The ZON(duty free, Tai Zi Restaurant by the sea, beach, ferry terminal). 5Mins to Customs. Not far from ksl. Quite a central area.Try their D'Mezzanine restaurant. Thay have delicious chicken in cream spagetti. Room was spacious and has very nice view ;) Breakfast was good too. Staff was friendly and courteous. They were efficient too. We asked for a baby cot and it came in no time. We also ordered in room dining and was promised 40mins wait. And indeed food was sent within 40mins. Checking in and out were unexpectedly fast and fuss-free unlike many other hotels in jb where we could spend as much as an hour. The seaview was also great though unfortunately we were out of the hotel most of the time. Very good breakfast,western and oriental choice. Close to immigration check point,about 10 min walking.No need to take a cab,unless you have heavy luggage. The room(studio) large enough and superb hot water for shower. I like the huge space of each room even if it's just a studio room... And the friendly hotel staff when i did call to get a connecting room with my mother's. Good hotel with the best served choc roll in the morning. We got room with very nice sea view. The hotel is near Danga Bay, jb city and Singapore. Suitable for family with young children. Great in room Wifi connection. Breakfast is good esspecially mee goreng mamak. I have stayed at this hotel more than twice and it never dissapoints. the room was big, clean and very strategically located near johor CIQ. will definitely come again and again. Excellent refurbished hotel with modern facility, love the sea facing view. You can see Tebrau Staits and Singapore island from the room, and beautiful sunrise from your window. Our standard studio room was cozy, nice & somewhat spacious. It has a dining area along with kitchenettes. The bathroom is big & clean. The bathtub is big too... Room is very spacious. You can even cook as the hotel provide microwave and stove. I like the location. Easy accessibility. I will come back here if we stay in Johor. Love the place and the view especially one that faces the Tebrau Straits, with beautiful sunset. Should always ask for the sea view. The rooms are spacious!. TV old and the remote device didn't work properly. Bathroom needs some items to make it more comfortable(for example a place where to put the shampoo and shower cream bottles. The TV set is still old-fashioned, suggest to change to flat screen for all rooms. More variety for dessert like pudding and cakes in breakfast. More training for receptionist in customer needs and be courtesy. Tv should be change to flat screen lcd/led tv. There were only 2 pillows on the bed and the queen-sized bed is pretty small for 2 of us. However, the bed linens are crisp, clean & fresh... I got a room where water easily clogged in the bathroom due to uneven floor. Should have a bigger LCD TV. Room service is slow, ironing equipment is only for 30 mins. TV-monitor in the room is definitely outdated. During my stayed at the hotel the tv channel got a problem and take about one day untill I check out. Buffet breakfast was the same everyday. Local dishes were below par eg lontong, soto Nothing special served during first day of hari raya. The back lane is a bit dirty as you drives out, also slitely dark at nite. Furniture is old. Need refurbishment. Selection of food during breakfast is just ok. It can be improved. The towels look old and it is not fit for a 5 star hotel. smoking allowed at the outside eating areas. door need extra lock because my kids easily open it... No comment. Everything is great. Always have problem with the key..it's always turn red and we need to upgrade it almost every night when we get back to the room. the smell of smoke on a non-smoking floor, the occasional little cockroach in the room. The food from the restaurant needs alot of improvement especially for the buffet dinner. To improve and add more varieties to the buffet breakfast. I checked in at 4pm but the room still not ready. Untrained housekeeper, when I checked in, no towel in the bathroom. They got a wide n spacious lobby but less seats for guest. The seats far away from the receptionist. The towels could be better.... Looked a little old and didn't feel good on the skin as it was not soft and fluffy enough. However, the towel did smell good and clean. Location. Interior fit-out slightly old. The toilet flushing system may be a little too old, but it is still ok. Quite a mile to walk to City Square thru jb Sentral. Find no towel upon check in even though we chck in at abt 5pm. Access to the hotel is not that good for driver as the road access to the hotel usually jam with cars going to the boarders (Singapore). I called the room service and asked for iron but no one turned up to send me that item until i checked out the same day. I was so frustrated with the service i got. Maybe the treatment would be much better if i were foreigner staying at the hotel..so sad Oh ya the toilet sink also was a bit clogged.. we were traveling by car. the GPS could not locate this hotel. as there are many Jalan 4 streets in Malaysia. No steam bath for ladies. housekeeping staff, no hotel car. Room was a bit smelly (of carpet and drapes) but seemed to be okay after a while when our sense of smell got used to it and probably after we opened the sliding door wide open.
