  We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. This hotel was located right next to the Castle & the a- Bomb ... what people say » Peace Park, as well as the main city centre, & our room had a perfect view of the castle. Metro stations next to the hotel & easy access to th - We spent one night at this hotel. Great location - close to the A-bomb dome and Peace Park, Hiroshima Castle and shops. Staff were so friendly and efficient. I asked for a room high up with a view of the castle (and got it). Corner room with 270 degree views. It was magic and the room was spacious compared to anything else we had stayed at in Japan. We didn't eat at the hotel - but found places close by for dinner and breakfast.

  Bed was really comfortable, much softer than the normal hard beds that seem to be common in Japan. Their map of what was around locally was excellent, as it pinpointed a coin laundry, which we desperately needed at that stage in our trip. Room wasn't overly large, but it was a single room, and was larger than some of the others I have stayed in. B... what people say » athroom was a good size. Breakfast provided a good selection of foods, although it might have been nice if they had offered a type of bread other than - Excellent staff .. 4 star service. To get a quiet room ask for or book a single room on the 19th floor. Our daughters room was at the back of the hotel, soft comfortable bed and no noise. There is a coin laundry about a 10 min walk, staff can give you the location on the map. Bathroom is compact but not too small. Adequate breakfast Buffett, ask for a discount voucher when you checkin we got y500 off. Free Internet via lan cable in the rooms, free wifi in the lobby.

The rooms offer breathtaking views, the onsen is very chilled out and nice, and there's a ferry directly to Miyajima (one of the very best days we spent in Japan was on that lovely island). Direct access to Miyajima Island by boat (though more expensive than train and ferry option from downtown). 3.   We were so impressed by this hotel. Beautiful and stylish place, great staff and cleanliness (like everywhere we stayed in japan) The room was huge for Japanese standards too! The bar is lovely and has live jazz some nights. Location is brilliant - a 10 min walk down Peace Boulevard to the Peace Memorial gardens and museum (must see) and on the do... what people say » orstep of the cute little streets full of nightlife (go out the back entrance, left then right) - some lovely bars and restaurants very close by - Splendid location in the town centre for sight seeing + close to the night- life, too. View from 19th floor, interior of the hotel is very appealing and bar/restaurant on the top floor is amazing. Pleased to see Borek Sipek's works in the hotel. Front desk reception very pleasant, breakfast staff perhaps not enjoyed their job fully.
