It was in an excellent location. The room was spacious and delivered as promised from the website. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in every respect. Loved Vicki the night Manager. Actually all the staff were great. The location was perfect. Could walk to almost anywhere! The room was big and very clean.great location, newly remodeled, nicely done, nice size rooms for Europe. Rooms niceand clean and bigger than we thought, very secure location even provided uswith a beautiful room when our flight had been cancelled and we had tostay another night at the last minute - really excellent staff, can'tsay enough about them. All staff were impeccable - extremely friendly and helpful, they couldn't have done anything more for us, thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one for my wife and I. Free WiFi internet access was a great boost, and the hotel's location could not have been better! If you do book the Pantheon Inn it is difficult torecognise as a hotel - look for the big green door with a brass plaquehigh on the right hand side.Breakfast although not bad, could be improved. The entrance was somewhat odd - they really should improve the door from the street!. We would have liked a communal area where we could have relaxed as a group and maybe had a social drink. Because you're in the middle of the action, noisy (mopeds, trash pickup) through the night...bring earplugs!. Hard to find. There was a distinct musty smell when we entered the room. Later we discovered the jacuzzi/shower leaked which would explain the moldy/musty smell. We mentioned it to the staff and don't know if anything was done about it, but it seemed from the smell that it was not a new problem. The breakfast selection was limited to breads, ham, sweets, and cereals plus coffee and juice, nothing healthy. The size of the room in the picture was misleading, our room was quite smaller than anticipated. two single beds combined as double, i know it is common, but not nice when you are a couple. no bar. On leaving we were told that the hotel's own taxi was the cheapest that could be hired at 45 euros, however it was not a licensed taxi and the fixed fare to the airport is actually 30 euros. Pressure was put on us to get this taxi even though we'd seen literature telling us only to get official Rome taxis and that there was a standard fee!. This is minor...it is hard to find. Look for the plaque... Walls are thin like a paper, did not sleep so well, but this miraculous city wiped away this negative point. Missed fruits and yoghurt for a breakfast..Breakfast is very basic, but there are plenty coffee-shops near-by. In one of them just next to the Panteon square -Tazza d'oro (Golden cup) - the coffee served is considered by the Romans themselves to be one of the best in the city. Try!. The breakfast. The one downside was the breakfast. Very poor selection. No fresh juice or fruit. Cereals and pastries laced with sugar. location was hard to find. Entrance is off a laneway with only a small brass plate telling you that the hotel is there. Note the street number of the hotel and dont expect a prominent sign! Hotel is entirely wood floors and room walls are thin - not great if you want to sleep in late, because you will hear everything going on in the hotel. The directions for locating the hotel could be more precise.Got some mis-information regarding taxi prices and bus fares from the airport to the hotel. It looked all a bit opportunist, pretty much the general attitude in Rome anyway so goes with the culture so need to be careful. Fresh vegetables and fruits would be nice on breakfast (+ orangejuice). The sound isolation is poor.The cleanliness of the room is very weak. During the 5 days of the stay ,the elevator was broken during 3 days. It is not agreable to walk 3 stocks without elevator,including with the lugage. The orange juice of the breakfast could be better. During two days was not possible to acess the internet.The personal of the hotel informed that there was one interruption due the FAO meeting conference,but in the lan house in front of the hotel the conection was normal.
