Good location - a 10 minute walk to Vatican city. Helpful staff - I requested an iron in advance and a new one was bought for me. The Mirtilla Residence is not really a hotel (there are no common areas) and is most suited to backpackers who are looking for a budget place to stay.

Neat and tidy. Location central to most attractions in Rome.
No ensuite bathroom or toilet (as was made clear when booking my room) so I had to go down the corridor. Only a minimal breakfast is provided (left in the bedroom the day before). Parking was advertised on letsbookhotel.com as free but I was told to park in the street and pay. Most of the time no staff were present (but were helpful when they did appear).
Responsive room. Very bad sound from the bathroom. When flush or using water in shower. The drain/sink woke up the whole corridor.
Very strange don't fix these kind of things before arrival.
Noise outside (bikes after midnight, very loud!). Also a bit noisy inside early in the morning.
