We enjoyed a one night stay at Hotel Posta. It was clean, comfortable,
and was in a great location in the center of town. We arrived before
noon and expected to leave luggage but the room was ready and we were
welcomed. The grocery store was immediately across the street. The staff
was extremely helpful and friendly. We had heard about the church bells
being disruptive so we closed our windows and used earplugs and slept

Nice, clean rooms with a bit of a view on the Duomo. Very central position, everything is well within walking distance. Breakfast is simple but sufficient! Very nice people to help you, their English is not fantastic but they manage. Great city for culture but also shopping and good food!.
The staff were friendly and warm and went out of their way to be helpful.
The location was excellent , right in the heart of the city a short distance from the cathedral and close to many excellent eating places.
There was an elevator between floors.
Just nice place to stay during short trip to Volterra right in the center of the city. Room is cosy and stylish (old fashioned). The second floor looks more pretty than the first floor. Shared bathroom is clean and was occupied only by us this time.
A house built in 17 century and equipped with all necessary moderm facilities (except air conditioner which is not obligatory takink into account a ceiling at 4 m from the floor and good natural ventilation). Extremely good location.
The location was amazing. Just a short walk to the Duomo, right in the center of things. Orvieto is a fantastic place to visit, and after many prior weeks of travel, Hotel Posta and Orvieto were restorative to us.

Definitely budget friendly. We had a shared bathroom room and it was a
nonissue for us bc there was only one other couple using that bathroom
as well. Really good location, although you won't be able to bring
your car: park at the funicular station and take a city bus. Easy

The absence of an easy chair. Not many seniors can sit comfortably in bed to watch television or read.

I never was able to get online through the hotel's wi-fi.
No air conditioning or fan so you had to leave the windows open during the night. Two problems:
The sound echos from the cobblestone stone alleyway below and between the 4 storey stone block buildings. You could actually hear a woman walking in high heels and late night conversations in the street.
Even worse was that the bells from the nearby Mauro Tower rang every 15 minutes AND throughout the night.
The bathroom was in poor condition and the shower sprayed everywhere but down on your body.
The room was obviously being renovated as part of the door frame was left stored near the wardrobe.
Had to share bathroom down the hall with a lot of other rooms.
Wifi did not work. The Mor really ringing bells quarterly. Nightly too.
Free wi-fi didn't work.
Very noisy church-bells nearby.
Thin walls; easy to hear fellow guests.
No TV, if that matters to you.
Shared restrooms - only one bathtub (no shower) with poor water pressure for 10 rooms.
Staff doesn't really speak English and Internet only worked in
lobby. The bells ring in Orvieto every 15 minutes, so the windows are
sound-proofed, but we had to leave them open for heat.
Incredibly noisy (the bells, people walking in the alley below. Be mindful of this if you are a light sleeper or are easily disturbed by noise at night).
I didn't like the towers.It wasn't like a normal towel. it was like a gauze.
