La Corte degli Angeli is a fantastic hotel, in the very centre of Lucca, in a quiet street. Our room was really big and cosy and with shutters (very important for me, as I need obscurity to sleep. The bathroom was gorgeous, with jacuzzi and TV. Breakfast was also really good. You have to pay for a parking place, but otherwise you can leave your car

It is an exceptional location with a beautiful view over the town of Lucca, with a great pool, a chic interior decor and very good traditional food. Emiliano is a very welcoming host, very funny and a great chef. You can ask him what do you want for dinner and he will prepare for you. He does everything by himself making guests live some unique experiences. We were in the self catering apartment which was stunning and huge.It was a mix of antique furniture and modern fittings ( ikea kitchen).The breakfast was very good with a huge selection of food.Staff very helpful despite the lady speaking only Italian .We were able to leave our cases and pick them up later on the day of our departure.Very quirky

The staff was very friendly, though the day we checked in, there was an older lady in reception, that was able to give us instructions only in italian (but we understood each other quite well). Breakfast starts at 8:30, which was a little bit late for us, but if u want, for breakfast, they can bring you some food the day before to your room.

The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Large warm pool in a big, lush garden setting. Option to eat outdoors at each meal which we did. The room was a good size, excellent bed and the bathroom was modern with a nice bath. The oublic areas, bar and lounges were inviting and the staff were vey attentive. Overall it was fantastic.
