La Corte degli Angeli is a fantastic hotel, in the very centre of Lucca, in a quiet street. Our room was really big and cosy and with shutters (very important for me, as I need obscurity to sleep. The bathroom was gorgeous, with jacuzzi and TV. Breakfast was also really good. You have to pay for a parking place, but otherwise you can leave your car in the neighbourhood. Staff were efficient, friendly, warm and caring. Couldn't have had abetter experience. The room and hotel premises were clean andimpressive. The breakfast buffet had high-quality items, organicproducts and excellent made-to-order cappuccinos and espressos. The foodwas excellent. I would definitely stay here again. The location wascentral. We loved it!.

Central location. Easy to get anywhere in Lucca from there. Wonderful Hotel! Comfortable enough room for a short visit to a place like Lucca with expected otherwise limited general facilities. Room size was good and the bathroom well fitted out with both bath and separate shower. the buffet breakfast was excellent. Everything was excellent. The coffee was not fresh at breakfast. Thw water in the shower was cool during the evening on a couple of occasions, but this did not detract from the overall experience. The shower was very small but managable.Little counter space in the bathroom. Shower head very high - hard not to get head wet. There were 3 things we didn't like - 1) The beds were very uncomfortable and 2 single beds had been joint to make a double and both beds were of different levels. 2) The cleaning staff comes in btw 7 and 8 in the morning and are extremely loud and noisy for the next 3 hours. 3) And lastly the A/C takes a few hours to cool the room.The breakfast was a bit sparse if you came down later in the morning. Whilst I agre with the majority of reviews I found finding the hotel on arrival at Lucca Station a bit difficult I would recommend that on arrival at the station, unless you have stayed before, take a taxi. Cleanliness of the room was not at the level of a 4 star hotel. The jacuzzi was not functioning properly and it had a weird smell: Maybe because I stayed there while it was a dead season for hotels in general.Air conditioning unit had collected stagnant liquid on arrival and emitted unpleasant smell when used. No negative features to report.the room was very cramped for room no space for anything you almost had to sit on the bed .more like a guest house than a hotel no lounge to sit in ,no balcony, no outside area, no view ,very poky.
