What a great hotel maybe not on nathan road but only a short walk away.really made to feel at home by everyone.WE Did book a club room which was great also took advantage of the 12 floor lounge. The ladies on front desk and Danny and Tony looked after us good people in the right job full marks to them. Must mention pastry shop on ground floor what a delight.We look forward to our next trip would not stay anywhere else.Also must mention breakfast and meals great. A little expensive but you are o.
all reviews » The staff was extremely quick in responding any request we had (such as bringing extra bottle of water, extra set of toiletries, booking a restaurant, etc..). Literally like one minute after I hung up the phone - I am certainly impressed. This is even faster compared to Grand Hyatt or Mandarin Oriental in HK. Definitely worth a praise. The only part was the heavy and seemingly stuck door that we had to push so hard to make it only half open - this may need some fix. Buffet is rather high in cost. Concierge advises were unsatisfactory, as it seems he was not really interested in helping us. He just hands over a map telling us were we are and that's it, after that he returns back to his documents. Overall Hong Kong is an expensive place, especially dining. WiFi promoted as free on letsbookhotel.com in reality not free. I asked to use another credit card for payment, was told refund of deposit would take 2 weeks. The hallway and hotel itself is dated. They need to update it with current styles. Renovation noise - had to go to Reception to answer a phone call as I could not hear the telephone in the room (1412). After complaining about the noise we were given the use of a room on Level 7 - many thanks to the Duty Manager (Ivan)!. The swimming pool and sauna was not open even though the website indicates that it is, this was a big disappointment we were allowed you to go to the Shangri La hotel nearby to swim but their pool was little more than a very large bath. The stairs going up to Level 16. Not everyone is fit enough to climb up and down the stairs. Just a minor complaint...... Hotel is under renovation. Power outage in the middle of the night woke us up with the emergency lights and generator - could be the worst night`s sleep I've ever had in a hotel. While checking in took very long .Although made a request for an early check in but did not quite accommodate . nothing. the construction. The hotel is undergoing renovations. Otherwise it is perfect in terms of the new refurbishment of guest rooms. Room allocated for letsbookhotel.com customer has no view. Not much to complaint. Rooms are on the smaller side and the hotel is on the expensive side. We were told the wi-fi was free but it wasn't entirely free - we had 2 devices for the few days we were there and were not told there would be a charge for this. Twin beds are a bit small for an adult and a child. Usb charger didn't work. Breakfast offerings were very poor. My visa card was over charged and I am still trying to short it out with the hotel. None complaints. No problems everything was fine. They did not make it clear that they would charge for more than 2 internet connections per room. No hotel Bar - 5*???? (because you cannot call a counter in a hallway a bar- joke.. Very poor. Nothing really..it was a good hotel. Shower in the bath. The swimming pool was closed. This was very disappointing as I specifically chose the hotel for this facility. Any deviation from advertised facilitates should be noted on the website. Small rooms, limited hours on Club lounge and restaurants. Pool closed - indefinately?. Pool and leisure club closed, and not told before arrival 10% sevice charge added to room charge. Very short business trip, not so much time to enjoi the facilities.
