Breakfast was super. Convenient location for staying in Heraklio over night. The bathroom was nice and clean, hotel is situated very close to the center of Iráklio (about 15 minutes walking) and was not too noisy, although it was near the street! The breakfast room was fantastic! (with a view over Iráklio and to the sea. The room were very stylish and had a nice atmosphere, also with air conditioning.

I knew Castello hotel and i chose it because of its location that is very good.The hotel staff was kind. It was a bit far from where most things are: perhaps my fault.Location is noisy. One of the rooms. The double bed was very, very smal. It was about 1 meter an 30 centimeters.noisy road extremely at nights. hot drinks facilities could have been provided in the room and yes it was a little noisy with the traffic noise from the road outside, but watching five roads converge with no traffic ligfts more than made up for the noise. Lots of noise through adjoining door. No hot water in the morning. some road noise, central location. Not so good for access to the airport. Location was noisey. the balcony locks are broken, only one person was good on information about sight-seeing.The guy at the desk seemed a little dodgey when we got there. Due to the position in the city, the whole surrounding was rater noicy.Dated bathroom. 1.The breakfast doesn't match 4-star, not much kinds at all.2.The front room to the street is horribly loud, the first night we couldn't sleep at all, but the next day the staff changed one back-side-one for us and that brought us peace.The receptionist who was at our arrival was very disagreeable. Noisy. not very clean, noisy. the last day of my stay there there was a "party" at the 5th floor, i was at the 4th and i couldn't sleep until 3 a.m.!!!. It was like sleeping in the middle of a motorway and the walls were so filmsy I could here the people in the next room breathe. It was impossible to get any sleep plus the toilet ran all night. Not very clean, some rugs sideways of the bed that really need change!The toilet room not very clean also to be honest but fair enough. Very noisy at nights and someone has to close the windows in order to sleep well (imagine that during Summer!). Last but not least, there was a WiFi notification card in my room (3rd floor) and i'd like to use my laptop for my work but the signal was not available. We booked 3 double rooms of the same type and price and the gave us 3 different rooms, which the one was a bed-soffer, and the other had an awful smell. Instead of reasting we end up worst. When we complaned they said that there was nothing they can do. The site said that there where 5 rooms available on the same kind and we booked 3, but thet said that these 3 where the only rooms available. The hotel is not cleaned enough. The price is too much high for the services and the position. The hotel is located close to intersection of many streets and there are too much noisy. I wouldn't recommend the hotel.
