The best about this hotel is its location. It is situated in the city center and the main landmarks- the port, the Archeological museum and the bus stop are easily accessible alike with the main shopping streets. There is a computer with Internet connection near reception that you can use free of charge. The staff are very helpful and, if in doubt, you can ask them for directions. If the purpose of your trip is tourism, I would strongly recommend Irini. Overall, excellent value for money.

The price, while on the high side, is ok, considering that accommodation in Heraklion is expensive compared to other places in Crete. The hotel was convenient to the pedestrian walking streets and to the bus station. The hotel room was small, but quiet. It was very convenient to those who want to visit the archeological museum and the Knossos archeological site. City centre, not far from the airport. We stay here just for a half of night cause our plane was at 5 pm. It was last minute booking and was very cheap. It was lovely. Staffs are so friendly :)). I love this hotel. The hotel's "returning customer special price" turns out to be higher that what is available online, something they should fix/be more upfront about. we had one family room (for 4 persons) and in the description it was 33m but really it was very small. The breackfast is really bad!... They shouldnt charge for that!!!!. Would not like to stay there for any length of time. Nothing. Area is not pretty, next to parking garage, and lots of graffiti. Was not a problem for passing through. nothing. Bad breakfast for 5 euro. Heraklion is not really a nice city, a lot of cars en scooters. Rethymno and Chania are better places to go. Close to the hotel there are unsightly buildings. Rooms have not been updated since the 70's - green sanitaryware in bathrooms. Fridge did not work in my room. No luggage lock-up facility available. 1. Toilet was un-clean and had un-bearable odour 2. The rooms was not sound-proof and could not sleep as the street remained noisy until early morning with rushing bikes, loud voices of people partying late at night. Room dirty, old-fashioned hotel. Very tired rooms. Air-conditioning not working. Staff rather cool. It was dirty, smelly and very small. The reception area gives false perception of what you are getting. Black mould growing in the shower recess and on the soap container. During breakfast, which was an extra 5euros, the waitress did not return to replenish food, so we went without, then noticed her mopping the entrance downstairs, more staff need to be employed. they dont allow any pets in this hotel. Very tired looking and not very clean. Disgustingly smelly toilet, dilapidated bathroom, dingy bedroom, noise. Would never stay there again or recommend it.
