Spotlessly clean hotel; recently refurbished to a high standard slightly out of the centre of town but an easy 10 minute walk to town along a quiet street which we prefer to being in the absolute centre. Views up to the castle above. Helpful efficient staff.

the whole experience at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly,nothing was to much trouble. The hotel being on the edge of the forest was probably the in the most woderfull setting i have ever stayed at. I would personally reccomend this hotel to anybody - perfect for dividing your time between the tiergarten and the alts

It was what you'd expect from a typical German Gasthof. Friendly staff, pleasant and very clean rooms, excellent continental breakfast. We dined in a few times and the quality of the meals was also excellent - typical hearty German meals.
The hotel was located in the heart of the Altstadt, but only 10 minutes walk from the rail and bus stations.

The hotel is superbly located just off the main square in this small town. Our room was excellent with very clean en-suite shower room and toilet.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped to make our short stay an enjoyable one.
Wernigerode is a picturesque,small town located in the Harz region. There is a beautiful castle overlooking the town which may be reached by tourist bus, train style bus and horse-drawn carriages. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops selling superb cakes
