The location is really easy to find. We travelled by train and it's
located about 10 to 15 minutes from Trier HBf. It is really close to the
city and other tourists attractions. The staff was super friendly and
made us feel at home since we arrived. We read a few negative reviews
but we didn't find those negatives points during our stay. Breakfast
was great......champagne for breakfast was new for us and we found it as
a part of a great service. We also liked the idea of ringing the bell to
say. all reviews
The owners were genuinely very friendly, helpful and welcoming. He being
Indian and is wife being American/German, they both speak perfect
English and German.
A free drink at the bar was offered after check-in, which was a nice touch.
The location is close (5 mins walk) to the old city centre, yet easy to unload bags/check-in as there is a reserved bay in front of the hotel. Private covered parking is available a 2 min walk away (4.70 euros per night), the WiFi worked fine on my visit.
Breakfas.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of major sites and restaurants. The host offers a welcoming drink upon arrival which provided an opportunity to relax and talk to other guests. The service was excellent overall. They offered a choice of two rooms to pick from which was nice. Rooms are small but comfortable.
The room was very clean with great WiFi connection. The breakfast was very good as well. The hotel's staff and manager were super-helpful, kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay very much, and will probably come back if we're in Trier again.
Dima & Shir.
The staff made you very welcome and were very helpful with giving you tips and how to find your way in this lovely city. The hotel is situated close to the centrum, which was great. The room was comfortable and clean. The champagne breakfast was great .
The hotel was central to visit the sites of Trier. A short walk from the famous Porte Nigre and cathedral. Close to the river. Very good restaurant recommendation in the centre of the old town. Delicious meal.
Owners very welcoming and friendly. Short walk to sights and also not too far from the train station. The breakfast was good. Upon arrival, we were given two room keys to see which one we would prefer.
The rooms and staff were excellent. Have never eaten such a brilliant breakfast in a hotel in Europe before...and the family touch to the place makes it even better. Loved my one night at the hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location is ideal. Nice front room where all guests can sit and relax. Lovely breakfast. Free champagne.
The couple that run the hotel are wonderful and you can tell they put hard work and love into the place. Breakfast was lovely!.
Good location. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room. They gave us a welcome drink upon check-in, which was a nice touch.
Excellent location. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
Rooms very clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast.
Very welcoming, central for the Christmas market in easy walking distance, very quite, enjoyed our stay.
The owners were nice, breakfast great, the decor is over the top...fun to be in for a night.
The hotel staff was welcoming, spoke fluent English, and the breakfast was excellent!.
Great time. Owners very friendly, decor is very cute.
Breakfast!!!!! And owners.
Short walking distance to the city center. Staff spoke excellent English.
We love everything.
The interior decor might be slightly dated, but that is always a
personal view, and I would certainly not let that put you off.
TV was very small but not a big deal.
Interior decor is kind of old-fashioned. Breakfast was good overall, but the bread/rolls were not fresh. Towels were very very old and rough. The shower screen was broken. The bed was making noise. To sum it up: The hotel is okay to stay there for 1-2 nights, but concerning the price-performance ratio we were not convinced.
Light by bed was dim.
Although it was not a problem for us, travelers who have mobility issues might have a problem with the stairs. The building does not have an elevator.
Ask for a room not on the street if you want to sleep.
The hotel was situated on a street which cars tend to speed through late at night. It's certainly safe, but it was a little bit noisy when we were there.
Noise from late night drivers and revellers going past outside window.
The athmosphere, the staff was friendly but we didn't feel that it was genuine. The streetside room was very noisy at nights, had to keep the window open because of the heat.
