We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was astonishingly largeand clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the swimming poolwas the warmest one I've ever encountered in a hotel, and transportationto the Altstadt was so easy -- a bus straight to the center of the citystops every 15 minutes a few steps from the hotel's front door.

Clean. The staff were helpful. The hotel was situated close to the city but notso close to become too noisy. There is parking. We only ate there once for breakfast, itwas ok, not great! We found a wonderful little cafe in the city forbreakfast. More food, half the price! I think it should be mentionedthat the journey into the city by foot takes about half an hour andthere are some gruelling hills in between. Best to take the car!. Street parking only, long trek from reception to room via corridors, lift and then stairs, breakfast €13.5 no thanks!. Small buffet on breakfast, and too expensive for what you get. No onsite parking and swimming pool was a disappointment due to its poor condition.No parking. It was charmless. There was no soap or shower gel in the swimming pool area. There was only one package during two days of stay at the hotel of shampoo and nothing more in my double room. No air condition.The bed. Instead of a queen or king size bed, they were two single beds in two single bed frames joined together for double room. I knocked my back a few times during night.The mattresses were to soft (as a matter of taste). They sell rooms of two beds with a coach as room for three extensible to four persons.The elevator does not reaches the last floor, and with a heavy suitcaseit makes a difference. The temperature of the pool is not 32°c (asstated). Small children pay breakfast too.That breakfast was not included in the price and at 13.50 euros each, was expensive. The room was very basic for the price.Failure to communicate in English with some staff members, though all very friendly and helpful.The hotel had lift only upto 3rd floor and we were allocated rooms on 4th floor.Quite a way from town, the place is also very outdated and in need of some renovation. It is ok for an over night lay over though.Hotel was difficult to find, noisy, outdated, and smelled of cigarette smoke. No private parking.

Exit the A44 motorway at AC-Lichtenbusch/Monschau. Turn to your right and head for the city centre. Go right at the second set of traffic lights and the hotel is 500 metres ahead on the right-hand side.
