Located in a nice area, next to the metro, tour de montparnasse, and gallerie Lafayette, the hotel offers all what a visiting family (with 8 & 9 year old children) needs: nice clean spacious room (2 large double beds), buffet breakfast of good quality (including nespresso & fresh orange juice!!!), friendly staff, easy access to shopping area and restaurants. We got a very good deal from letsbookhotel.com which was a fifth of the official price list. The hotel was huge and luxurious and not your typical European or paris hotels. Rooms were comfortable and its location was great with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Gaite metro station was just steps away conveniently.
all reviews » Overall impression is very good - the rooms were comfortable and quite spacious, and were cleaned every day. The view is impressive even from the 12th floor, not mentioning 24th. The breakfast was nice. The Gare de Montparnasse railway and subway stations are in one minute walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Friendly and lovely service helped me upgrade my standart room to superior without additional payment. I received room with good view on Paris from my window (23 floor). Room was clear and included all facilities. Breakfast was good. Many thanks from me and my wife for all hotel staffs. The staff was very helpful and the location was great with access to the Metro and the Air France bus to the airport right across the street. And we could walk one block and get a great view of the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night. Location, especially the bus stop opposite that has airport transfer facility. Near the train, easy to get around. good restaurants n supermarket nearby which is very convenient. Breakfast in the hotel is good. Very clean with a large king size comfortable bed although the duvet was a little warm, even with the room temp lowered. Close to major and metro train stations making it easy to move around the city. The hotel is very large and luxurious. The staff is big with courteous service .The breakfast is rich. The location is great - Jast across the street from a train and metro station. Being in the 9th floor and all we waited for half an hour just to find out that we needed to take the route up before going down because all 4 elevators were jam packed. It is not the city centre. Although the neighborhood is very nice, you should bear in mind that you would have to either walk 40min-1hour or to take a subway (quite nice) / taxi (quite expensive). Music channels on TV. wi-fi facility is poor, cannot work in the lobby. customer service can be better. Restaurant food (breakfast and dinner) could have been a better standard. Breakfast options did not change for the four mornings. Wireless Internet use is very expensive, limited and cumbersome, Which is not appropriate for where we live. Internet service today is not a luxury but a basic service. over priced breakfast. The billing in the bar complaint made. The bar is too pricy compared to the amount of drink you get. We could hear a bit the lifts from the bedroom. Lunch in hotel on arrival day was a disappointment as the staff member was slow and not attentive. Such poor service stopped us eating in hotel again, including breakfast. The cleanliness of the rooms, cutlery, glasses and plates in the dining room at breakfast buffet. The price were somewhat expensive for the accommodations. sometimes too much care during breakfast (I do not understand why it is required that personal is placing guests to tables, check on entrance would be enough). The price and the fact that when I queried whether we could change our booking due to delays in the French Embassy visa process they immediately took off the full amount owing. Nothing. Public parking beneath the hotel, no reduction for guests (expensive). Lobby area not very appealing. Under remodeling. The heating could barely bring the room up to a reasonable temperature. Very poor selection of channels on the TV - one might almost think they wanted to force you to buy their movies. Room service menu is uninspired and lacking in quality. I couldn't charge my laptop due to the plugs of hotel. (Nobody could help) Was not able to use my memory stick on the TV. Delay with checking in. Initially only got one room by 3:30 pm, then the second room later. One member of our group arrived separately and was kept waiting for 3 hours before check in as they could not find her booking, even though we had discussed her later arrival with reservation staff when we checked in. Tea making facilities in the room were not replenished automatically - had to ask each time, also only paper cups provided - no crockery. the metro station montparnase is very close but u need to walk allot inside it. Seven steps down to enter hotel lobby. Lobby entry area is too dark due to carpet color. Bathtub sides too high. My wife could not use it safely. Too bad they don't have rooms with showers. Check-in was confused. Check-out there was only one person dealing with a long queue. Breakfast is average compared to other services and amenities in the hotel. Cost of breakfast best to negotiate as a package. nothing. Room was small for 4 people. Sometimes lobby too crowded and noisy. The journey from the airport to the hotel. More information could have been given on the shuttle service available opposite the hotel direct to the airport. Ok leaving but there was no information given about it so we could have used it on arrival. It would have saved us 1.5 hours journey time and a lot of sweat and hassel. Extreme expensive mini bar, not so clean. Breakfast crowds.
