Very very pleasant.i want thank the reception people for they helped meto the core.taxi was arranged at the correct time though little bitcostly.the hotel was very easy to locate and its very near to importantplaces.Best hotel in paris to stay with;my memories are very pleasantwith helvetia, paris. I will 10 out of 10 for this hotel. the room was nice and spacious with a very big bathroom and the hotel was only meters away from the metro and 300 meters from Gare de Lyon. The windows opened wide and the sun poured in........really cheerful and welcoming. The bathroom was huge. Also, very "Paris" architecture. Everything was very very good.Staff very pleasant and obliging. Rooms small but perfectly adequate. Quick and efficient serivce with any problem. Rooms were clean and veryadequate. Staff was always helpful. Location excellent being close toMetro and Gare de Lyon.Convenient location to train station (Gare du Lyon). Friendly staff, all spoke English - greatly appreciated since my French is limited. The location of the hotel - we were travelling by train. Very good airflow in room - windows all opened. I became seriously ill while at the hotel and needed to be hospitalized. The staff was warm, caring and helpful and even did my laundry for me while at the hospital. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!. Your staff spoke excellent English The bed was soft and comfortable Everything was clean After checkout we were able to leave our luggage until our departure at night. Excellent location - metro entrance outside front door. Close to plenty of cafe-bars. English speaking. Close to train station.The Helvetia Hotel has an awesome location. Ideal to people who wants easy access to metros and special transports as intercity trains, for an exemple. The size of the room is ideal for sleep, take a bath and leave to the city to have fun! And every hotel in Paris has a smal room, so if you want a big one, go to Ritz. Cheap, clean and very good and pleasent staff:. It was close to the station and well priced. Closeness to station and helpful staff. Balcony and very comfortable beds. room was small but nice and clean, it had everything I needed for my stay.. would definitely go again..value of money really good. The hotel was very near the metro which was very useful.The rooms werevery clean and local shops and restaurants were handy.good location next to Gare du Lyon Station and close to bars and cafes. Only 1 extra pillow for twin room. No lift beyond 4th floor and we were on the 6th with heavy bags!. no english tv, hotel staff seemed stressed. A member of staff was quite rude.tv had no english subtitles.no lock onbathroom door.no air conditioning. The road that it is on. Lorries and trucks rumbling along at all hours of the night. The walls are very thin and you can here other guests. The doors are shuting with noise. The noise from other rooms.With all rechargers for cameras and phones I think that one electrical plug in single room is not enough to recharger in short time all devices. Sometimes noise from nearby rooms.Certain members of the staff didn't seem to have had breakfast when talking to others. too little space in the rooms, especially between the beds. No tea/coffee making facilities within the rooms. Bedroom doors slammed shut too loudly and difficult to stop them doing so.Sound isolation towards corridor and other rooms were not very effective. Unfortunately, this part of town was not the best. I took all valuableswith me each day because I didn't feel the room was too secure. I didleave a small amount of currency there each day and it never wentmissing.. But it just didn't have that safe and secure feeling. Perhapssome better doors and locks would do the trick...triple room was very cramped indeed. Exit/entry to the lift at room level is on a staircase midway between each room level. The walls are very thin - the noise from other rooms sometimes was disturbing. Could hear other guests in their rooms. finding a used sock beneath the bed. The front desk was manned by an unfriendly member of staff in the late evening/early morning.
