  Initially we picked the hotel because we only wanted to spend one night in Calais en route to central France and it was reasonably priced. We found it to be excellent on all matters.   It has a garage for car security. It is quiet at night. The rooms are well furnished and decorated. Beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is splendid. - This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in- perfect rooms, friendly and helpful staff and quirky and interesting decor. Such a good end to our skiing hoilday

  Very friendly helpful staff - I have been there many times, and although it was in the middle ofredecorating it still was the best hotel for value especially right onthe market square.

  We liked everything - There is not one thing we would criticize. We usually stay at the Mercure next door (about 2 - 3 times per year, sometimes travelling through Calais, but sometimes we like to spend Friday night here as it is a very good night out and is reasonably priced) - Having now tried the Ibis (I don't think your photographs do the pla... what people say » ce justice incidentally), this will now be our hotel of choice (and your nightly rate is VERY good). The rooms were superb, the beds and pillows were - I love this hotel, and their staff. Everyone is super helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The bathrooms are superb with a walk-in shower, and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. I love the area given over for breakfast, and any small pastries left over from breakfast are put on a trolley in reception with a kettle and teabags and coffe, and guests can help themselves for free during the day. It is excellent.

  We spend a great weekend in Calais, and this hotel was definitely one of the main reasons. Late check-in was no problem, and we were still able to have dinner and drinks at this hour.
