Easy access to beach from hotel but subsequently found that the town beaches were prettier and water looked much clearer. - Excellent for an airport hotel. Two minutes to the airport by car/taxi.   We loved our room overlooking the harbour. Great bathroom, clean and tidy and the staff were very patient with us as our French was very bad but they were so nice and tried to accommodate us in every way - breakfast was very adequate for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the WRC Championships! Thank you for the poster from your front doo... what people say » r - it was 'nursed' all the way back to Australia! - The shower with its various jets was like javing an 'en-suite spa'. In addition to that flat screen and balcony was a positive surprise. Breakfast buffet offered a good choice and we could have it on the terrace.

  Good location for wandering around Ajaccio. Reasonably modern facilities and the buffet breakfasts were plentiful, varied but basic. The staff were really helpful and with enough English to be able to have good conversation. We had a sat nav repair problem and they were happy to phone around to find where we might get assistance and then show us h... what people say » ow to get there. The hotel's garage was much cheaper than city parking stations and was nice and close - but only available on our second day - pity t - The hotel is very close to the beach, shops and downtown, although it's not in the main street, so it's peaceful and quiet.   Location was good within easy walk of all the main sights. Loads of restaurants of various types and price ranges within a few minutes walk. Very clean and modern room and bathroom, comfortable big bed! Kettle in room was a bonus. ask for a sea view though - it makes all the difference. Fun to watch the donkey's in the citadelle moat just opposite... what people say » ! Beach just across the road to right of citadelle and down steps. Walk around the bay away from the port and there is an amazing childrens playground - The location was perfect, the old town, the beach and several restaurants within walking distance. Our room was upgraded and we had a terrific view of the Meditearrean. The maids did a fabulous job best I have seen and we have travelled a lot. Breakfast was good and taxi to the airport was right on time.

  We toured Corsica by car in early April, this hotel was our 2nd stop having first stayed in ‘La Pietra’ hotel on the wild peninsula of L’ile Rousse. Les Mouettes has charm and character; it was very clean and tastefully decorated. We arrived early, and staff when out of their way to make us feel at home: we were offered a room to shower and change, and showed to the small private beach where we relaxed until our room was ready. Our room was spacious, comfortable, with a great view of the gulf. All through our short stay, the staff proved friendly and helpful. A great first night in Corsica !
