Really like the place, real Beijing feel. -
By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis.
For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.

The location is perfect, just 10 min walk away from Qianmen and Tiananmen Square, you can also find subway and bus quite easily around there.
The cafe bar is really nice, good place to meet friends.
Beds are pretty comfortable, I stayed in a 14 bed dorm, quite a big room, not crowded at all. The A/C works well, hot water 24 hrs, and oh! the bar opens 24 hrs as well, which is a bonus!
The price is quite reasonable in Beijing, esp at central area.

Staff was good and generally helpfull, although the coudn't order any tickets unless you went to the travel agency that the hotel runs (same pricey tours that every tout agency in Beijing offers)

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Tienanmen Square, in a very colourful area with plenty of restaurants and shops.
The room was simple but clean, the towels were changed every day.
The hotel has also a very cosy bar/restaurant area, mainly used for breakfast, and one or two computers are available if you need to use the internet.
Most of the staff speak English and they are happy to give you advice on the best ways to get to places.

We arrived in Beijing at 1am in the morning but due to difficulties with
the taxi driver finding the street this hotel was on we didn't
actually check in until 2.30am. The neon/lighted sign outside the
hotel does not read "Beijing Jinxiu Courtyard Hotel" in the

Beijing is the cleanest city I've ever been to (and I had my share oftravels), and this hotel just tops it all. You can lick everything thereif you want, even the ashtrays. I liked this hotel. The staff is always very friendly and try to do everything to help you (speak English and Chinese). The thing that I really value in this hotel is cleanless. Of course, as it is based in the center of the city, near the main square there are always a lot of visitors, so it is not so new, it's rather old, but still very clean. And that's very good. I liked the location very much: Wangfujing street, Tiananmen square, metro station everything is really near (about 5-10 minutes
