Beijing is the cleanest city I've ever been to (and I had my share oftravels), and this hotel just tops it all. You can lick everything thereif you want, even the ashtrays. The staff is very helpful, most of themspeak very good English, and eager to help. All in all, the value formoney is amazing. I will come back there. Excellent service;English speaking staff (unlike my other hotel in China); clean room; free Internet; good arrangement for transport to airport; will return to this hotel next time in Beijing; excellent value for money.

Helpful staff - we arrived at 8 in the morning and still got a room immediately (it was cleaned quickly for us to move in). Very good breakfast, ATM and money change in the lobby. Taxi to the airport was ordered by the hotel without any additional fees (fixed price 100). The location is excellent,close to Tiananmen Square and short walk through a beautiful park to the train station. Not a big hotel but practically new,fresh supply of towels and beddings everyday. For the price of the hotel I think this is a steal. I highly recommend it to others.The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. Also, the hotel was located right in the heart of Beijing within walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and the subway. This location is amazing. It was really hard to decide to stay in the hotel just reading the positive and negative reviews... but I just tried and gave a shoot... I can say the Hotel is just a walk distance to biggest attractions of the city, such as Forbidden city, TianmenSquare, Temples, Hutongs, Art street, Bugs Night Market... The location near "Forbiden City" is convenient. The hotel is confortable and the room was warm enough despite -10°C outside ! The breakfast is in the attached "Days In Café" and offers great choice, however any extra is very expensive, like 72 RMB for a double shot expresso ...The location of the hotel is very good. The location.Location. The location is really good, about 10 minutes walking from Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Staff was very helpful.This hotel is very well located in the city. Staff was nice. The map location was totally inaccurate but using a map of Beijing it is easy to work out where the hotel is (East of the Forbidden City). My only negative comment would be that our carpet was not clean although I think it was the hoover not the fact that the staff did not do it properly as they always seemed to be working very hard at cleaning the rooms.There did not seem to be restaurant facilities. It was not clear if breakfast was available although there was a 24 hour room service. it has "dungeon" room: the "zero" floor. actually it's still clean and comfort to stay. but the fact that it has no window makes it a little bit creepy and soggy...The room we got was located on the basement floor, having only a tiny window near to the ceiling and first there was a smell of mould. The room was also quite tiny but clean and as we were already really thankful for the possibility to move in before the official check-in time, we didn't want to complain. Everything else was just perfect :). air conditioning which blows cold air directly into the direction of a bed. Inability to communicate effectively in english language. At night there was a lot of noise (from outside, what is was exactly; don't know) , so we had to close the window. I prefer sleeping with the window open. More employees should be able to speak English. Very difficult for the cabby to find the place. We heard this before. Thank God we have international roaming on our mobile, but still we have to call three times for the cabby to get the location. The hotel sighboard was not noticable. traffic arrangements during Olympics probably not properly explained beforehand; breakfast expensive. Staff do not speak quite good english but enough to show you locations on maps and other directions... Price of the coke in the lunch buffet was almost the price of the buffet! I just realize when I got the check... but the value of the buffet compensates... A japanese tourist show me an argument she recorded on her mobile phone with the Tour guy of this Hotel which obviously is unacceptable - this guy should be fired !. Bad ventilation in the smoking room. Tourist infos and propositions are not complet and the organised evening at Peking Opera did not be good. hard beds. aircon was quite noisy. breakfast expensive and poor choices , furniture smells.. Food in the restaurant was poor and over priced.Room smells a bit (probably coming from carpet). The staff is not very friendly or efficient, English knowledge of the majotiry of people is below the minimum necessary for simple communication. The restaurant is overpriced and serves bad-quality food. The breakfast, however, was OK.Our room was in basement with a very small window. the deposit credit card charged slip was not cancelled right away after the checkout, it should be cancelled thru machine instantly.breakfast food is not good enough. too limited choices. and same food everyday. room is small. the beds wasn't very confortable and the air conditionning was place in front of the bed.1. Better english at the reception. 2. At the check in the recptionist were talking to 3 guests at the same time, which delayed our check in. 3. We missed a refridgerator in the room. * The room was too hot because of the heater. * There was a construction right in front of our room and the workers there used to work at 3:00 am making a lot of noise. * After shower the bathroom was a mess - water on the entire bathroom flor, the box was leaking.The biggest problem we had was that no taxi drivers knew were the hotel was located even if we showed them the hotel card. Every time we had to call the hotel and pass the cell phone to the taxi driver and than with more info we were able to come back to the hotel. Second problem is the very pore english of the staff and finally we found the room very small and the washroom attacked by humidity.
