Location is excellent. The room was extremely comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Lovely bed linens and toiletries. The valet parking was a great deal at $22 a day. The breakfast buffet was a good deal, too. Proximity to Parliament Hill and other attractions.The proximity of everything, the value for my money. all hotel personnel were nice and very helpful.
all reviews » The comfort , size and tranquility of the room. I knew this hotel 20 years ago when it was not great. It has been completely refurbished and extended. Bedrooms and hotel facilities all of a high order. Staff excellent. Restaurant good value and excellent service. Housekeeping most helpful in retriving item I had left at hotel and sending it on.Beautiful and central location, across from park and canal, 2 blocks fromParliament. Elegant, functional, friendly. Bed in room 336 a little uncomfortable "sagged" on one side. called room service for bathrobes (were noted to be in the hotel room in website description) - never did get the robes or the call that was promised letting us know there were none available - long time waiting on the phone for service - only disappointment. Lack of internet was a problem, paying 10 dollars a day is rather ridiculous. The heating did not work well, seeing as it was -22 celcius on some days and nights there, which is not too comfortable. the bed (queen) was very saggy. I ate dinner in the dining room and thought the quality was poor based on the price. I left a piece of jewelery in the bathroom but the staff said they didnot see it nor did anyone turn it in. Just a little test I'd done withmany Hotels.The fan in the room was noisy. Its becoming out dated for the price of the room. Room is small for the price . The hotel is on busy street and the waiting to check in was to long and the other automobiles were becoming inpatient. Noisy room on second floor and excessively loud ventilation andtoilet/shower. Employees are very rude. When we asked the concierge to help us look up something using a map, they told us to look it up ourselves! You are forced to have valet parking, which costs $25 per night. It took nearly 20 minutes for the valet people to bring our car around. Not very convenient, especially in the morning when you have plans.1. sauna does not work properly - it goes off without being sufficently hot and one cannot control humidity. 2. dirt 3. no hot water - would be more useful than ice at freezing temperatures 4. breakfast service - a chopped banana charged as a fruit cup which costs 4.5 $ (compared oatmeal that costs 2) 5. direction to a resturant which does not exists anymore. 6. no free wireless internet.
