We had a large, well equipped comfortable room. We loved the decor - wooden floors, brick walls, bright color schemes and large, original art work all over the place. The staff were great and the breakfast was to die for. This was such a fun place to stay and very good value. The ambiance, location and especially staff of the hotel are amazing! It is everything the internet says it is, and more. Welcoming and helpful staff took a personal interest in our stay. The breakfast was tres delicieux, service impeccable! The metro station is a 1-minute walk from which you can get anywhere in the city easily. The main shopping and restaurant area is a 5-minute walk.The staff here is fantastic!! So helpful and friendly. The layout anddecor of the hotel is also very chic - because it is in former houses,the rooms feel very comfortable and homey. I really appreciated theoriginal art on the walls and the very comfortable linens on thebed...we had the jacuzzi room and it was very romantic and comfortable.The breakfast was amazing as well! Amazing exp. We liked the fact that we could park the car and walk to the Bell Centre as well as other facilities. This was our First Bread and Breakfast experience. It was great. My wife was particulalry happy that all of your staff spoke excellent English. The hotel consists of adjacent terraced houses that have been delightfully decorated. However this means steep stairs and no lifts. The hotel is by a railway line which gives a little extra noise in the morning but not at night (the trains don't run through the night). The many stairs may be a problem for some. They advertise parking on site, but note that the free parking is on the street and isn't always available. They have parking around the back, but it's $10/night. Also, if you're looking for a downtown location in the heart of the city, this isn't quite the place. It's right next to a highway overpass and isn't in the "nicest" of areas.Some poeple might not like that reception is in different building. We didn't mind. It was not easy to carry up suitcases to the 3rd floor. The aircondition didn't work and it was quite warm on our floor and in ourroom.air was dry (this would be a problem if staying 2 or 3 nights)and heating was not adjusted in room (centrally located) Jacuzzi switch did not stay on unless tape was put over it. These were all minor things and overall we were well pleased with the room. The room was very cold, maybe the air conditioner could be set a little lower.Bed in our room was quite small for 2 people given the room price. Room was dark due to overhead light being out - reported but not fixed during 3 day stay. We thought it was closer to old town, it was more downtown. However by cab it was only 5 min. to old town Montreal.The hotel building is quite old, and the walls are not sound proof. The floors creak a lot. Noise from the guestroom above, though there was no unusuall action, just walking.

- Take highway 20 east towards Montréal.
- Stay in the central lane and take highway 720 east (Autoroute Ville-Marie) toward downtown (Centre-ville).
- Take the Guy Street exit.
- At the lights, turn right onto René-Lévesque Boulevard. Keep right.
- The 2nd traffic light is Guy Street. Turn right on Guy Street and then make an immediate left on Argyle Avenue (the street sign may be blocked by a bus parked in front of the Days Inn).
