  We spent 4 nights in the Nelligan and rate this amongst the best of our hotel experiences anywhere. Rooms were spacious and well furnished (exposed brickwork is very stylish). All of the staff we spoke to were extremely helpful and spoke both French and English fluently. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this hotel but it's def - We loved the feel of the hotel and the way it had been renovated to keep the charm of the exposed bricks and stone. The staff were outstanding and very helpful. The hotel is located right in the heart of Old Montreal and it is within easy walking distance of great restaurants, bars, art galleries, historic sights and the waterfront. We look forward to staying there again and again.

I particularly appreciated the fact that Jennifer and Vladimir both made the effort to check in via email/phone during our stay, *and* contacted us afterwards to ensure everything had gone smoothly. The store on the ground floor was good for getting the basics when we didn't want to eat out all the time.   The staff was amazing. We traveled to the hotel for a weekend away for our daughter's 16th birthday and went for the Justin Timberlake concert. We found out once we got there he had postponed the concert and it basically ruined the whole mood for the weekend.
