Loved the doggie bag we were given on checking in. I was very impressed with the cleaning crew.saw them doing things that you normally don't see - washing down hallways, cleaning dusty leaves on large plant. This was all on a long weekend! When I was told on checking out that the head housekeeper always steam cleans the carpets every time a dong stays in a room. Staff were excellent. Next morning, I had a "spell" at the hotel and needed medical services immediately. They called for ambulance and it took a short time the medics were there to help me [although it felt like eternity]. All in all an experience I'll won't forget. The medics took me to hospital where I was admitted for 4 nights.
all reviews » Very convenient location for me. Was extremely close to my work so it worked out great. Boston Pizza is right next door, easy to get a cab, shoppers across the street. Great location. Not too pricey.. I love Edmonton...super sunny and bright. People are really down to earth. the water heater was down so had cold shower in the morning...but was compensated with a gift card to make up for it . Was also offered use of another suite ..so all was ok .The staff were amazing at the front desk and also the lounge. I will stay there again . i appreciated the welcome back letter from the manager. The paper delivered to my door in the morning was a nice touch. The extra aeroplan miles added was appreciated. The hotel does the little things well, which makes a person feel welcome. As the answers above show -- friendly, clean, not too expensive, convenient. A real jewel to find, and I'm sure we'll stay there again. In fact, we wish Rosslyn was a chain so we could stay in an equivalently impressive inn in other cities. I absolutley LOVED that your establishment provides a thoughtful pet treat bag. The keurig machine WITH creamers in the fridge, bottled water and snacks were impressive. Super friendly staff and a tasty breakfast will have us coming back. The lady who helped me at the desk was very accommodating-even when there was a slight mix up at first. She made sure it was exactly as I had expected. It was also a lovely room with very nice amenities. Overall a great experience. Very friendly service, great food from the restaurant and pub in the hotel. Reall y close to shopping and I loved that they brought us two bottles of water everyday included in the room. The whole stay overall was excellent. The rooms where very clean. The hotel itself was very clean. Staff were very helpful on any questions or concerns and dealt with them quickly. In my stay at the hotel for 4 days, the facilities like gym, loundry, free parking, and wi_fi are so amazing. Room is clean enough but no good restaurants around. I was very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of this hotel. It's close to my family's end of town so it's very convenient in that regard as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean, fair amount of 'extras' in rooms which added a bit (ie bottled water, FibreOne bars), ice and vending machines conveniently located, and working. (This is always a plus, have stayed in several hotels where you had to hunt for working machines). The room was clean and comfortable. The daily added touch of bars, chocolate and water was very much appreciated. The shower was nice. The room met our needs, we just needed a place to sleep while visiting family. The food needs improvement but the staff are amazing. Just happy normal people not being fake. the water heater was down so had cold shower...but was compensated with a gift card to make up for it . Was also offered use of another suite ..so all was ok. A better reading light in the room would be nice. I didn't like that I could hear the people in the other rooms.... On one of the mornings when the hotel was almost completely booked my shower went cold for a few minutes and then hot water came back. The one and only issue we had during our 5 night stay was the room and hallway doors closing. Every time someone went thru a door near our room we heard the door close. This could easily be fixed if felt or cork was placed in the door frame. It's hard when making left turn to the hotel. No coffee in the rooms, just tea and decaf! I don't know if they advertise that they provide regular coffee, but I was disappointed by that. Bathroom too small !!!!. Very noisy and not effective air conditioner,.no counter in the bathroom. The one bed was too soft for our liking but the other one was fine.Nice to have a choice. everything was fine. No dislikes. Parking short supply. Parking. Parking at the Rosslyn inn is horrible. Last night of our stay we were kept up most of the night by a very noisy room next door. nothing. Nothing. people did smoke in the room next to ours. All non smoking rooms. Little pricy Wifi 24 hr limit. everything was gd no problems. to expensive. some of the staff not so accomodating. Having to wait 1 1/2 weeks for a item to be mailed which I left behind in room. the temperature was hard to control. Old and dingy rooms, bedding,furniture, TV is so bad. The bathrooms need new everything and not even a fan is mounted. The air conditioners are horrible window mounted, loud noises all night long and we had to turn it off to be able to sleep but then the heat woke us up. I would not recommend this hotel until it is renovated and then I would be happy to give it another try! 3 out of 5 stars at this point. Parking was sparse for a larger vehicle, as located in a strip mall, most stalls too small for my truck. Walls very thin, with rooms very close together, made for a fairly sleepless night since I had neighbors who talked and watched tv until almost 3 am, and I could hear it all. The view was rather ugly, we looked out at the roof with air conditioners, pipes etc. There was no remote for the tv. Stayed in the old wing of the hotel and it looked like the carpets were very worn, made the place look cheaper then it realy was.
