Well we checked in with no problems. Clean rooms and the fridge is always a bonus. The hotel staff saved my husbands butt as he had previouly picked up some wine. Only to find our it had a cork screw top, Front desk accommodated us with a cork screw and glass wine glasses. Bonus!!! When we went to leave the next day knowing the shuttle did not go to Via Rail station we asked front desk to call us a cab. The shuttle driver was standing there and offered to drive us to the train station . Another.

I waited an hour and 15 minutes until the shuttle came. Staff said you have to phone for the shuttle when you arrive but no where on the website does it say that. I it does, make it more obvious and bolder so people won't stand and wait at the curb while every other hotel shuttle comes and leaves without them!!!. The person at the front desk was rude and slow. We felt like we were putting him out when we checked in. He huffed and puffed while checking in two asian men in front of us. They asked for food menu he explained but then when they didn't understand, the front desk man looked at us like "are they stupid" I was embarrassed for him, I went outside to laugh. Really bad welcome! Noisy hotel with strange people hanging about. Receptionist at check-in could have been a bit friendlier, probably didn't like, that I spoke english instead of french. I was very dissappointed that there was no lift to the second floor and as I had 3 heavy pieces of luggage I found it a struggle by myself to get to my room. No clear instructions on where to get the shuttle. the person at the desk was talking with a friend on the phone while i was waiting to check in...otherwise good stay... Hotel 'tired' in desparate need of upgrading. Breakfast area poor. Windows dirty. waiting at reception and attitude of the person behind the desk. Noise generated by air plane and breakfast is not good. Property needs substantial upgrade. Carpets in the hall were worn and frayed. We wouldn't stay there again. We waited 1-1/2 hrs to be picked up at airport. No elevator. Carpet was very worn and dirty. Staff unhelpful, wouldn't stay there again.
