The Aphrodite B& B was of 5 star standard with spacious rooms furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The host Heidi & Dirk were superb and most welcoming.
The breakfasts were wonderful and would keep us going for the day.
We would definitely stay there again.
Ideally located for Ieper and the battlefields of the First World War. Dirk is a first class guide to the area.

Rooms are all individual and lovely designed. The hot tub and the gardens were a great place to relax on a night. Also good proximity of hotel to town centre, 5km: we drove to hotel, checked in, left car there and took taxi to town. Cost €20, a special deal the hotel has with a local taxi firm. Would have cost more to stay in a hotel in the town centre where parking is also quite expensive. This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. Since our last stay they have made many improvements on what was already a very nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel.
