The greeting we received when we arrived was very welcoming - this 'set the scene' for our experience of the hotel. We had hired a car for our exploration of the area, so were very glad that there was plenty of parking space. The room was spacious and very clean. It was a very easy walk to Menin Gate and to the town itself! We have been traveling around Europe for a month & stayed in many hotels - the Hotel Ariane was one of the best. The Aphrodite B& B was of 5 star standard with spacious rooms furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The host Heidi & Dirk were superb and most welcoming.
The breakfasts were wonderful and would keep us going for the day.
We would definitely stay there again.
Ideally located for Ieper and the battlefields of the First World War. Dirk is a first class guide to the area.

Arriving at the hotel on Wednesday with my husband was delightful, I hadthe flu and could not have gone anywhere better. The owners and staff were some of the most friendly, welcoming and helpful people we have ever met. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was lovely and the location was great for a beach visit or as a place to stay within 30 mins of the dunkirk ferry port. A very well ran, child friendly hotel. Will definitely visit again.

Also good proximity of hotel to town centre, 5km: we drove to hotel, checked in, left car there and took taxi to town. Cost €20, a special deal the hotel has with a local taxi firm. Would have cost more to stay in a hotel in the town centre where parking is also quite expensive.
