Website said the hotel was only 300 meters from the Market Area in Bruges--it was actually just under a mile to main town square. We were 300meters from entrance to the underground parking facility. Also, parkingwas advertised as free and availabe at the hotel. While technicallytrue, there were only 6 parking spaces available at the rear entrance tothe hotel, so it was very limited. carpets. Counter staff were friendly. But the restaurant staff (male) seemed cool and showed no willingness toward customer's question. I was giving a smoking room with two double beds when I reserved a largeone double bed room non smoking. At first I was told all other roomswere taken but there is no way I will sleep in a room with a strongsmell of disgusting smoke- especally when the room I booked specificallysail non smoking. Eventually they did give me another room with thecharacteristics of what I ordered on line.swimming pool was closed for maintenance. A little run down in decorations. no tea /coffee making facilities. There is no wi-fi throughout hotel, just in the public areas but you need a password and none of the staff know it! Cleaner made a big fuss about us having our small and gentle dog in the room (hotel allowed dogs without a problem and didn't charge) and refused to clean it. Pool was out of order for most of our stay.It was not as central as the website suggested and the room did not feellike a four star room; if anything it felt two star. If the hotel waspriced and described as such this would be fine but for the price it wasunacceptable. Double bed was two twins pushed together with this the beds moved around in the night. The shower was in the middle of the bath which was tricky to use.bath engines, beds too soft. Rooms could use new carpet. 10 Euro charge for phone use.Pool water was very cloudy, so we were disappointed and did not swim. Noisy. Our room was off a courtyard with tables. The loud and banal monologue prattlings of young Americans that passes for conversation went on until 1.30 am, despite repeated requests to reception to ask them to deal with it. Shower didn't drain either but nothing was done about it during our stay.Only one lamp in the room was on and nothing was done even after oursecond complainment. The parking lot is very small. Staff seemed disorganised seems they have changed ownership recently, our room only serviced two days out of four. The hotel seems to be having a makeover, which when finished will be fine.The fact they say they have a parking is extreemly wrong, it's a verysmall place always occupied by hotel staff. They're misleading about parking (which they dont have for guests) They couldnt tell us where the nearest ATM was, which was over the road, and didnt know what the parking restrictions on the street outside were, though the map of Brugge she gave us had them on? Our bathroom didnt have any extraction and so turned into a sauna when we showered.The airconditon was extreamly noisy, the cleanliness of the room was very poor.
