The whole experience of staying at the Calis was excellent. Breakfast was wonderfull and served in the room which was a big help because we had our dog with us. The welcome was very friendly and we were recommended an excellent place to eat in the evening. There was nothing that we feel could be improved. We would recommend to anyone going to Brugge. Stayed two nights in African Room with our dog Charlie. Our hosts Lawrence & Daniel were fantastic...Lawrence booked us a vet for our return to the UK and Daniel drove us there in the snow! The breakfast was delicious...served in our room. Hotel is walking distance to everything...would recommend this hotel to everyone! They made you feel like family. Barbara & Richard. The people there, Laurence especially, were very friendly as well as efficient and professional. The room was one of the best we have stayed in for a B and B, and breakfasts in a room were superb. Put these together with a fantastic location with everything in the centre of historic Bruges easily walkable, and there you have it - a gem!. The room was great, plenty of space, privacy and pet friendly. Calis' location was excellent, approximately 1-2 blocks from the Grand Place, and about a 5 minute walk to underground parking. Street parking was available, it made it very easy to unload/load as well to check in. I would book here again for our next trip to Brugge.The proprietors were wonderful! The room simply delightful and quaint.Great place for a couple or solo traveller to unwind at. brilliant BandB, very friendly and helpful staff, great room - stylish and cosy, the food is fantastic: eat in the restaurant!. The room was beautiful as was the whole building, The breakfast was exceptional. Very warm and welcoming owners and the meal in the restuarant was the best we've ever had. Excellent owner, very comfortable bed, breakfast served to the room was great. The location to the city is excellent. Eat in the restaurant!. Nothing. NONE. The bathroom, especially the toilet, being part of the bedroom but everything else was so amazingly good that it can be overlooked. Construction going on around the building during the week. It starts very early (7a.m.) and is right beneath the window to the room, but otherwise it was a great experience.
