right in the town center. The location of the hotel was amazing. Right in front of a great market, and a lot of different places to eat. A short walk down from the U-bahn, and only a stop or two on the U-bahn from most major destinations.Very nice, clean and cosy hotel in the middle of the center!. very friendly and helpful staff (particularly Francesco at Reception and cleaning staff), excellent breakfast, very good free access to internet/e-mails in the hall, easy unfussed check-out.

The only bad things that I can say about the hotel are that my room really did not have a hair dryer and an iron. beds were fractionally on hard side...but perhaps that is Austrian tradition....Minor thing: very squeaky floorboards in room!. The state of the bathroom let the hotel room down - black mould all round the shower and general repair/maintenence was needed. We stayed on top floor and could hear the elevator everytime it was used. One of the reception staff was a bit useless - I was ill on the first day and when my wife asked about the location of pharmacies he gave hopeless directions which left her wandering around for half an hour. He also failed to point out that all pharmacies in Vienna were closed, which made the trip a bit pointless! The other reception staff lady was very helpful though. room was a bit tiny. Rooms were grim, poor decor abd poorly lit. Television channels very limited.ınternet was not working and it was annoying. a little bit noisy. I asked for a smoking room, but the receptionist gave me a no-smoking one, without explaining to me the reason.the shower was partially broken and very hard to use. street construction, too noisy. Fifth floor room (with no elevator from fourth to fifth floor), poor comfort in room (small, awkward shape). This did _not_ feel like a 4-star hotel. very small room with small bed. It's noisy all night long and the double bed was practically composed by 2 single beds with single covers.
