This is a lovely old-fashioned hotel, very well-decorated and furnished. It looks as if it has been recently refurbished (to a high standard). It is quite near the Westbahnhof railway station and within walking distance of the city centre. They gave me a bigger room than I had booked, at no extra price. We decided to opt for one of the larger themed rooms on the 7th and 8th floors and it was well worth the extra. Each room was themed around a circus character and our room featured the Ringmaster. It had a hand painted scene with this person the whole length of the wall behind the bed. Together with the quirky furniture which included some of his equipment too, not to forget the full length picture windows looking over the Museum District, the room couldn't be bettered!!

I like the decision to mix the lobby bar with the reception services, as it brings more atmosphere and is welcoming even if you are coming in early hours. Also you may have a coffee while you are checking out. Being bartenders and receptionist the same time, bring a friendly and different approach than standard hotel reception.

The hotel was well located. It was easy to walk to the main attractions or to access the underground.
The coffee machine in the deluxe room was wonderful anf worth spending that little bit extra.
My flight only departed at 7:45pm and I was happy to be able to use their wellness facilities to shower and freshen-up and get into a clean set of clothing before boarding an intercontinental flight!

Staff (some more than others),was very helpful in terms of what to see, where to eat, and how to use public transportation to get where we wanted to go.
Best of all was the location...so close to everything.
