The girl on reception was lovely; really friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfy, will definitely be back again for another good nights sleep! Also, I liked that the toilets and showers were singular and altogether, and there wasn't just one big room with loads of toilets and showers like most hostels have. It gave you a bit more space and privacy, which I really appreciated.all reviews
Friendly staff, central location, comfortable bed, kitchen, clean ablutions, price, architectural character, close to Central train station and light rail.
I found the room, bathrooms and staff all good!! I may go back someday. I liked the location-close to the trains and tram.
Easy access to the city, Central Station and shops. Clean room and bathroom.
The staff here is really helpful and friendly!!! The location is perfect!!.
Cheap, sufficiently clean, very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location, comfortable. tidy rooms.
Location, Staffs, and Value for money.
bed size, staff, convenience, price.
I liked the location.
central location; friendly helpful staff.
Location and price.
Staff Helpful.
Location. cheap accomodation at city centre, easy to go everywhere.
Quiet room. Room facility - ok.
The location was handy. The free towel and soap was great, but not sure how clean. I didn't use the towel :(.
Overall the room was comfortable enough.
You could open the window.
Friendly staff
Own key for external entry
Great dim sim shop opposite.
It was close to everything.
The location.
Nothing.
The TV in the room had really bad reception. TV these days have gone digital. it would be nice to have updated TVs in the private rooms.
Depends on who your dorm mates are. Some travellers are very unethical esp when it comes to personal hygiene e.g: smelly socks & shoes, luggage not properly placed, stinky underwear hanging, leaving rotten food in the fridge & unwashed dishes in the sinks.
All the toilet paper holders didn't have a lid.
bathroom facilities.
I did not like the delay of more than 3 hours to pick me up in the airport.
damp,dusty, musty smelling room,
no tea/ coffee facilities,
shower recess did not drain water (clogged with hairs), kitchen smells (cooking onion) pervading the whole floor,
before we arrived we rang to ask if there was a full set of bed linen in in the rooms but threre were no blankets available; the receptionist tried to look for them but the manager had taken the cupboard key home and we were cold that night.
No tea/coffee facilities in room.
It was grubby but very clean. Could do with a lick of paint and general tart up.
Staff in the moringing were very rude, was going to charge us for an extra night because we were 1/2 hour late checking out, that was only because there were 2 showers on our floor & only one with hot water so we had to go downstairs for a shower. The window wouldn't stay up so we had to stick a steel bar there for the window to stay opened. Won't stay there again.staff - not very helpful. Although I have booked for 4 days, the key was inactivated after 3 days and although it was their fault, they asked me to come downstairs to get key activation.
Took 10$ deposit for key, and as staff was not at the reception when I checked out, I can't get the deposit back.
Even when I checked in , I have to wait for 30 min as their computer - not working.
One bathroom - no light.
Old place, dirty bathrooms, toilet paper dispenser was broken, bin was not emptied. Room had a bad smell. No lockers in the room, so this is really bad. Other places I stayed at had lockers. Price $33 expensive.
The noise from the street overnight.
Not enough bathrooms.
Shower heads completely broken and dripping continuously.
Everything in the common areas was grimy.
Top bunk swayed and squeaked.
Dreadful TV - both reception and the unit itself.
Lounge did not look inviting at all.
No blankets provided until requested.
No extra pillows available - one thin one not enough.
Hallway light shining into the room all night.
Very noisy street all night - slept poorly
Walls and curtains damaged
Smelled of smoke
Very basic and rundown.
There was a cockroach in the room and the staff did not care. The pick-
up sucks we wait for 3hrs, for a trip that can be done in 20min. The
building is old.
It was run down, poorly maintained, leaking taps, rickety bunk bed, run down unappealing accommodation.
