The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious, well appointed and had a balcony. It was cleaned and serviced every day. Location was very convenient to CBD, transport and shopping. The staff was lovely, very polite and attentive and I thoroughly reccommend Oaks. Central Station is very near which means one can hear the trains sounding their horn as they are about to enter the underground tunnel but it did not bother me that much, after all it is a big city with big city noises.

Staff were really friendly and helpful Swimming pool and spa pool were not busy and a good temperature The bed was really comfortable. Very close to everything, down the road from George street, Capitol theatre, 10 minute walk to Darling harbour and right next to Central station. It's in the middle of chinatown, so lots of places to eat. The staff were really helpful, the room was clean and tidy and the hotel very secure. All staff very friendly, Monica at front desk extremely helpful with any questions and upgraded our room which was very nice. All in all great place to stay refurbished room was great and very comfortable with minimal noise. Great location close to all shopping and food. Location was great - could walk to city for shopping and Stadium for football Bus to Randwick for races and to the famous Sydney harbour. Only short 200m walk to theatre. The double glazing adequately kept out any street noise or noise from the railway across the street. Perfect location for sightseeing. Easy access from airport. Nothing. The unit I had was very noisy, from the train line. Trains started early in morning, round 4am. A unit away from train lines would be better. Only issue was early in the morning there seemed to be a lot of noise coming from upstairs do it did wake me up. Nothing. A bit noisy near the railway line. Not much of a view. No dining room. drawers in the kitchen cabinet are not good, one of it has a hole (we were stayed in unit / room no 639, 29th fl. The apartment is accross the streeet from train tracks and I could hear train horns in the middle of the night. The shower was terrible and the standard of cleanliness was pretty bad. Looks a little tired but still spacious and clean. The air conditioning didn't seem to get very cold in one of the rooms, and a patio table would have been wonderful to sit at and have our coffee and enjoy the view. Water system needs upgrading as the shower ran very hot and cold. Could be a problem with children. The first room we were put on the tumble dryer had no door and when we told reception they told us they were waiting on a part - we then had to move rooms after having unpacked our bags and wasted a couple of hours of our time. Street and cafe very noisy. Trains toot each time they pass from 5am windows on this side and low level could be double glazed. The fire alarm was set off when we cooked our toast for breakfast. Dripping shower Slight mouldy odour upon entering the room Dishwasher doesn't dry dishes. The kitchen was small but it did not matter as it was a holiday so no need to cook. Car parking situation is very odd - you have to park amd go into the hotel to get your key and then move your car into the garage, and vice versa on leaving. Waiting time for lifts. No mini bar in room. No in-house movies. Bathroom bit small. Finding the car space in the carpark and elevator. Not very well sign posted. Some of the facilities inside the room broken. Have to contact the staff to get them fixed. the trains tooting all night!. The chemicals they use to clean the tiles and bathroom and kitchen floor are not kid safe and my baby got a rash on his legs. That there was a dump wall in the lounge room and the carpet was soaked with water in that area. Train line to close. The hot water going from hot to cold to hot. Water was stopped at the motel from 11pm to 6am on evening and we were not notified of this prior to arriving or when booked. We only seen the signs listed around the motel. No plugs in the rooms for the baths. When contacted reception was advised there were no plugs on the premises and they have ordered more and are awaiting for them. the constant food smell of everyone cooking. The water had problems, it went from hot to cold regularly. This hotel continues to rort customers by charging a ridiculous amount for internet. Wish Australian hotels would catch up with the rest of the world.
