did find the pillows in the bedroom a bit hard, but i'm sure the
staff would have changed them if we had mentioned it. We asked for a fan
for our room and it was waiting for us on our return. The breakfast was

Very good location, right by the train station so easy to find. Nice pub, friendly staff (thanks for the suggestions made to us, we had a great time). Good-sized room and very comfy bed! En-suite with shower. Freeview TV in the room. Perfect base to explore Shrewsbury and had a great night's sleep with no disruptions from noise. -

Room was fantastic extremely comfortable and you could ahve a party in the size of thebathroom, shower was fantastic. Food was glorious both breakfast and dinner. good, the hotel was spotless. The receptionist on duty for most of our stay was extremely nice, and very helpful, her name was Denise , a lovely person!. I am sure that when we are in the area again we will be stopping at Harmer Hill. -

Having stayed in April and having not been impressed, we can only congratulate the staff on the changes. The staff are friendly. The welcome and check-in excellent. 2.Layout of hotel very spacious yet compact.You werent walking miles to lifts or restaurent or carpark.

The building itself was old and had lots of character. The bedroom felt like going back in time, in a good way. I do not agree with the reviews that say that it needs updating or that the decor is 'tired'. It's a period property. I liked very much too that there wasn't muzak being played during breakfast. Staff were friendly. Nice to have 3 option

Staff were outstanding in service and responsiveness.
The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the service excellent.
We had to kill some time waiting for hire car and other commitments - the staff were quite happy for us to do this in the lounge / bar area and were helpful and friendly throughout.

Rooms both the double and single were a good size and comfortable. It
was nice to have the armchairs for relaxing, the outside space adjoining
the double room was an added bonus. Breakfast was excellent and staff

Simon couldn't have been more accomodating. He made us feel welcome and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. The staff are very obviously happy working there which speaks volumes. the food was excellent and simple and well priced. This guest house is in a wonderful location, right below the walls of the castle. the owners are very friendly and were very helpful.

The room was simply furnished but purposeful, and was immaculately
clean. The wall mounted tv was annoyingly small, but its unlikely anyone
will be spending hours viewing it. The house is situated slap-bang in
the town centre, and there is limited on-street parking across the road,
though only free from 6pm until 8am. The solitary staff member was
friendly and helpful.
