If your looking to stay in a 5 star hotel, this is not it. But for the tariff, this hotel is a little gem in Manchester. The staff were very helpful the continental breakfast was very good. Complimentaru fair trade coffee, tea,chicolate. In the clean big bathroom there were even body lotions! Breakfast rich and plentiful. A real bargain for this price. I will go again!

The Ivy Mount guest house was booked at the last minute, as I normally stay in the larger well known city centre hotels. However the experience of staying at the “Ivy Mount” has totally change my future accommodation requirements. I liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of a country house style hotel. For a woman travelling alone I liked the security of no long corridors and felt secure. the staff were fantastic . very helpful and always smiling . we went to the Robbie Williams concert at the Ethiad stadium and the hotel had arranged mini buses to drop off and pick up. what a godsend! dont know how we would have got back withiut the forward thinking. when we did eventually het back at 12.25am the night porter told us to get hot te

6 of us stayed at the lodge for the Magic weekend at Etihad stadium. We all feel that the valve for money here was excellent. The staff were some of the very best and polite staff we had come across for a while. They really were helpful. The men of which they were 4 were made up with the quality of food that was served up at the buffet breakfast. Very nicely cooked well stocked all you can eat and drink breakfast included in the price. We will definitely recommend an stay here again.

We were two friends staying in Manchester for 5 nights, going to a game
and wanting to check out the city in the meantime. When we arrived we
were welcomed and they took us to our room. We told them about our visit
to England and when we came back and were on our way to the main city,

The hotel is a half an hour (very slow journey) bus ride from the city centre but I did get to see another part of Manchester, which I wouldn't have otherwise done. The very quick train from the city centre to Guide Bridge is 6 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins' walk from the station. Not having to dash about (as I do most days), I rather liked the chance to stretch my legs so the initial off-the-beaten track impression was in the end favourable. Helpful staff. Excellent bathroom (refurbed 2 weeks ago to high spec!). Comfy bed. If you want a bit of lively evening, this is the place to stay (karaoke/drag night!) Excellent location - even found 'free' parking nearby. Excellent value for money - have fun! -

Comfy spacious single room with Ensuite bathroom, it was adequate for a single room with sink, toilet and shower cubicle.
