  I liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of a country house style hotel. For a woman travelling alone I liked the security of no long corridors and felt secure. My room was really fantastic and had many free toiletries and the hospitality tray was well stocked. Breakfast was excellent, wide choice of menu. Room I stayed in had a digital TV with many channels which I didn't expect to have. Hotel had a nice atmosphere and character. We all feel that the valve for money here was excellent. The staff were some of the very best and polite staff we had come across for a while. They really were helpful. The men of which they were 4 were made up with the quality of food that was served up at the buffet breakfast. Very nicely cooked well stocked all you can eat and drink breakfast included in the price. We will definitely recommend an stay here again. Thank you

  We were two friends staying in Manchester for 5 nights, going to a game and wanting to check out the city in the meantime. When we arrived we were welcomed and they took us to our room. Very friendly greetings and nice - The hotel is a half an hour (very slow journey) bus ride from the city centre but I did get to see another part of Manchester, which I wouldn't have otherwise done. The very quick train from the city centre to Guide Bridge is 6 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins' walk from the station. Not having to dash about (as I do most days), I rather liked the chance to stretch my legs so the initial off-the-beaten track impression was in the end favourable.
