  Booked a double room with shared bathroom - on arrival was upgraded to ensuite, simply because they had one available. Lovely room - immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed, really helpful welcome binder giving me wifi code and listing available facilities.   I liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of a country house style hotel. For a woman travelling alone I liked the security of no long corridors and felt secure. My room was really fantastic and had many free toiletries and the hospitality tray was well stocked. Breakfast was excellent, wide choice of menu. Room I stayed in had a digital TV with many channels which I didn't expect to have. Hotel had a nice atmosphere and character.   the staff were fantastic . very helpful and always smiling . we went to the Robbie Williams concert at the Ethiad stadium and the hotel had arranged mini buses to drop off and pick up. what a godsend! dont know how we would have got back withiut the forward thinking. when we did eventually het back at 12.25am the night porter told us to get hot te... vad folk säger » a out of the machine with fresh milk he told us he was on all night if we needed anything. such a lovely helpful man. next day we had a full English - 6 of us stayed at the lodge for the Magic weekend at Etihad stadium. We all feel that the valve for money here was excellent. The staff were some of the very best and polite staff we had come across for a while. They really were helpful. The men of which they were 4 were made up with the quality of food that was served up at the buffet breakfast. Very nicely cooked well stocked all you can eat and drink breakfast included in the price. We will definitely recommend an stay here again. Thank you

  We were two friends staying in Manchester for 5 nights, going to a game and wanting to check out the city in the meantime. When we arrived we were welcomed and they took us to our room. We told them about our visit to England and when we came back and were on our way to the main city, Sid, the host, had already printed out map for us about the cit... vad folk säger » y, the bus and train times and took more then 20-30 minutes out of his day to help us and make our traveling easier. Very friendly greetings and nice - The hotel is a half an hour (very slow journey) bus ride from the city centre but I did get to see another part of Manchester, which I wouldn't have otherwise done. The very quick train from the city centre to Guide Bridge is 6 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins' walk from the station. Not having to dash about (as I do most days), I rather liked the chance to stretch my legs so the initial off-the-beaten track impression was in the end favourable.   I like everything about that hotel, the staff was very nice and friendly, family environment. Very helpful, nice please people the reviews that you are seeing are just fake, the hotel is clean, bathroom as well, not noisy, I mean very nice. I am a frequent traveler, I go to many countries and I did like the Citi.   The room 202 was tidy, confy beds, tv and kettle included. Room was bit small but ok for our trip (concert in men Arena) and for the budget. However I would not recommend hotel for families with kids or for older people - no elevator. The English breakfast was great - big and tasty. Staff was friendly and helpfull.
