Venice is a small city (for me anyway) but hard to navigate, so people
will get lost (I got delightfully lost several times), but I thought
Residenza La Loggia was super easy to find. With only the map provided
from their website I went straight from the St. Mark's vaporetto
stop (from the airport) to the B&B with no wrong turns.

The hotel is just off main walking alley Calle dei Fabbri some 4 minutes north from San Marco. The distance between houses on opposite side in this area are tiny co do not expect any view from your window. If you do not mind this then Residenza la Loggia might be just the right place for your stay. After reading horror stories of small rooms and inconsistent service in
Venice, we intentionally looked for a room with updates and some space
and Carnival delivered both. Check in was easy and quick! The hotel was
in the quite end of town and away from the crowd. It is also a very
short distance (5min) to the public transportation dock and maybe 15 min
walk to the train station. Rooms very modern and clean. Hot water all

Company made an error so put us in another larger apartment at no extra cost, everything was perfect from advising of error and resolving to meeting at Rialto and taking to revised apartment, telling us about shops, restaurants and food so can only assume Gondola Rossa would be as well. The owner met us at Rialto and took us to the apartment (which would otherwise be difficult to find). She was very helpful and friendly and advised on food shopping and restaurants. The apartment was charming and comfortable and had sufficient facilities.
The price was excellent for an apartment in such a superb location.

The location was fantastic. Quiet location away from the hustle but very quick and wasy walk. The hotel is much more attractive than the photos show. A warm welcome from Arrigo started our wonderful 4 day Venice experience! Do take notice of his recommendations! We stayed in a 2 bed apartment very close to bus and train station. Apartment was very clean, spacious and kithcen had everything you needed for either a quick breakfast or dinner. Coop (supermarket) just around the corner (5 mins walk) or a smaller corner shop 2 mins away.

The staff at Ca'San Giorgio was very accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. There is free tea, coffee, and cookies 24h in the lobby and the free breakfast is perfect. The hotel has every amenity you could possibly want. The location is great - not very close to the attractions but less than a 15 minute walk to any of the major landmarks.
