Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken.
Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price.
It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there.
It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

The staff were fantastic. Both young women were friendly, courteous and helpful. When we mixed our dates up and blythely overstayed, they worked out a way to accommodate us in their fully-booked hostel.
The location is terrific. We were in Venice for the Biennale and walked to all the Pavilions from the hostel. We discovered it was quicker to walk

We also enjoyed the very social gatherings around the breakfast table with women from all corners -
The space is nice to be in. I liked the old building itself with marble floors, high ceilings, big breakfast room and nice living room where guest can sit and talk, it adds to the feel of the city. It was incredibly clean during all the 5 days that I stayed. The staff is very friendly. The location is central. It's a women only place, so if you are not looking for a mixed noisy crowed it is perfect.

First, This is the best location ever! I felt so lucky to walk out the door and have all the main places from 5_10 minutes walk.
Emilio was very helpful. his instructions confused me and he came to walk with me from the water boat stop. the rooms are big and you get a big wardrobe for your things' lock included. I loved there was an all female room! too many hostels say everyone must be in a mixed room. it is more comfortable to me not to have mixed gender.

I heartily recommend this hostel for one reason. I made a dumb move there the first night and left my wallet in the washroom with 200€ inside. Some minutes later I realized this and thought I was surely in trouble. I opened the door to my room and about to knock was a staff member who said someone had returned the wallet. All the money was still there.
I don't recommend leaving wallets around. However, at a more run-down or wild hostel you could not expect such an outcome. So the fact that the
