  This is my second stay at the Aurora (first was August 2012). Still great value, very nice staff, excellent breakfast, and nice rooms. As a result of Ukrainian policy I think public area smoking has decreased and thus the lobby is not quite as filled with the stench of cigarette smoke so that is good. Many - I was well impressed with location (very central but quiet) of this hotel. Also, staff was very polite and helpful with bar open 24 hours which was helpful with Client meeting. The standards of this hotel about 4-star European hotel chain (Marriot, Hilton|). I will definitely recommend this hotel for someone to stay on short business trip.

  I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Gostiny Dvor hotel! The staff were very friendly. Front desk girls were so helpful, spoke excellent english and always went out of their way to accommodate any request I had. They went out of the way to fullfill your eve - Svetlana who works at reception desk was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was wonderful but even if there is something wrong you should see Svetlana's smile and forget all faults :)) I also liked the boy who brought my breakfast to my room, he is very nice guy and decent..   The hotel seemed like new. Rooms were large Western style with nice bathrooms and very clean. We traveled to Kiev, Kharkov, and Odessa and this was the best accommodations that we had the entire trip. The cost was reasonable and compared to the other places, a very good value. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was great - The service and attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast, for me, was a particular high point being a British style buffet.
