I liked everything from the beginning as I was met at the door with a handshake and a nice hello. Mr. Lapping is a fine cook so there's no need to go anywhere for breakfast. Beautifuly decorated and very comfortable place to stay. Dean is a wonderful host - we felt like visiting an old friend. Good location as Edinburgh's Grouse House is situated in walking distance to all the attractions but far enough from them to easily find free parking. We will definitely stay there if we ever come back to Edinburgh. -

The staff was super friendly and service was great, food looked and tasted just great for the price u pay, shower head was broken in our room on arrival, upon telling it was fixed by the time we got back.
It was very clean, and the house is 150 years old and has a real Victorian feel to it, the ceiling is just wonderful.
The info we got is some of the best i've seen and gotten in a B&B its complete and one piece of paper has everything you need.
