  I loved everything about the hotel. Every member of staff was reallyhelpful and quite lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The bookingout time of 12 noon was realistic and breakfast between 7 and 11 wascertainly more civilised than some hotels.   we had a lovely wellcome when we arrived, nothing was a problem,everyone was friendly,crispy clean room, best bed i ever slept in and im fussy, food good, cant wait to go again, mybe christmas shoping. - the room was lovely and the location.

  Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). A winner. - The hotel is in a great location within the city walls and provides free parking. It is quirky in layout, yet has a very cosy feel. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and hot options cooked to order. All the big attractions are within easy walking distance. Close access to walking the city walls, great views and it's free!

  The staff were extremely helpful and suggested that we change our roomto meet my mother's needs (she'd hurt her foot at work and is scared oftravelling in lifts so we'd have needed to climb 6 floors to get to ourroom). ( i ordered every night of my stay). just in front of the river, i had the river veiw. it was great.

  Great location in central York, also one of the only hotels that allow one-night only booknigs. The rooms were lovely, great bathrooms all newly refurbished and airy. I left my sat-nav on show in my car, they even phoned me while I was out to let me know and then went to my room found my car keys and got it out for me! The hotel staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is very good and I would really recommend this hotel.

  What a delicious, quirky, hidden find! An absolute gem of an apartment - in all it's medieval wonkiness - half timbered wonky walls, uneven floors, tucked away down an alleyway behind the Trembling Madness pub - well, after all, the buildings do date from about 1650! Charming bedroom with luxury bath and dark wood four poster bed and all the app... vad folk säger » ointments you could ask for including flat screen telly mounted on wall of bedroom and another in the living room plus a Playstation for the kids or t - Location was central only yards from York Minster. Staff were extremely helpful and it was excellent. Would certainly recommend. We had a fantastic time and are definitely going back. The owners are brilliant and went out if their way to help and friendly. 10 out of 10 from me
